Ok, so I was watching Lost from when Jin was taken to the restaurant in the flash sideways. That is just about the day after their plane lands. Now in the episode before that, Sayid goes and visits his brother the first night he is back. Then, I'm guessing that the next day, his brother is beaten up. Then the day after that, he is taken to the restaurant. BUT, Sayid and Jin meet at the same time even though there is a difference in time of about a day or even more. Anyone notice this??
If the monster was trapped in the cabin by the ash circle and someone broke it and let him out (presumably Widmore after losing command) - why couldn't Claire have just broken the ash circle and let the monster in if Dogon isn't somehow part of the 'magic' of the circle? And if he is, how did the Ash circle get broken with the cabin to any effect?
Who's Ash is it?
I reckon the little ghost kid is just Jacob in a form Smokey would remember. He looks like Jacob.
@Kiddolinfen09 Good theory; the theory that the kid in the forest is Jacob is a viable theory but in my opinion it's not, cause he says "You can't kill him, it's against the rules" if it was him he'd say "you couldn't kill me" or something like that.
I wanna know who Wallace is. I also want to know who the people with Smocke are at the end of the episode... were they Templars or Other Others?
Was the Walt that got Locke out of the Dahmer Mass-Grave Smockey? What about the Christian who led Jack to the coffin? Was he trying to lure him to his death or what?
Theoretically Smokey had already had Jacob killed by this stage. I think perhaps the kid IS Jacob, as we can see all different kinds of apparitions that AREN'T smokey, but that the "him" he is referring to is someone else.
Jacob has already confessed to being dead... why would Smokey need to kill him twice?
You just blew my mind with that! It all makes sense. When Ben and the Others went to see Jacob with Locke. and who we thought was "Jacob" said "help me", that was really Smokey! So the storyline now fits that when Ben got shot by Sayid and had to lose his innocence/candidacy, he was susceptible to the Smoke monster corrupting him. Therefore I think Smokey has been talking to Ben the whole time and not Jacob. Smokey made Ben commit genocide, kill Locke, move the island, everything.
desmond will be comming back to island wheter he wants to or not. Locke is Dead... he's not coming back... Parallel timelines theory is on point!! I do think it will come down to everyone choosing the island or the alternate "reality" sans plane crash
SYMBOLIC CLEANSING. Dogan is a "Priest", he channnels or is embued with the power of the god he serves, he was the last remenent of Jacobs power and had to be killed in order for the other force (the smoke monster) to take over. You notice that the smoke monster had to "cleanse" the temple of all those who remained loyal to Jacob before he could inhabit the temple. Either dark flees from light, or light flees from dark. In any ritual there is symbolic cleansing.
I couldn't have said it better myself. This all has to do with Jacob's "candidates". It seems like whoever is a candidate for Jacob, FLocke/Smoke monster cant kill them. So Essau/Flocke/Smoke monster has to corrupt them or get someone else to kill them. Remember that little kid in the forest? "You know the rules. You cant kill him?" FLocke got really flustered when he saw him. I think something about that exchange is gonna turn out to be really important.
the thing is that the smoke monster was hindered by dogen's defenses.. so he couldn't actually "go in" and remember there was ash around the temple too..
Yeah but once Dogan was dead he was able to just storm it, I understand someone could've broken the ask circle (Sayid, Sawyer, or anyone else) but why was Dogen's death so pivotal in the fall in the defenses?
