Hurray for Mr. Rubio and Freedom !!! Why should I have to pay money from my pocket to pay for anything that I don't want to?? Let these cops and firefighters look for other work; the free ride is over !!!! Oh, by the way, Shut down the Depts. of Labor, Education, EPA and Energy; What the hell have they accomplished since being established ??? Nothing but waste and abuse, that's what !!!
Thanks Marco, A stimulus that subsidizes existing government jobs does nothing to create jobs. We need help in creating real jobs in the private sector that will have the effect of increasing tax revenue to pay for those teachers and first responders NOT more government debt.
When politicians use demagogue tactics concerning “teachers, cops, & firemen” they are simply fortifying their symbiotic attachment with public unions in euphemistic fashion. Confiscating more from “rich” for temporary relief is a poli-narcotic fix that actually sustains economic decline. This certainly IS a bailout with other peoples money as the previous have been.
It is not a bailout because it is paid for by the .5 percent increase in taxes on those making over a million a year. Are those folks netting 1 million plus hurting? They can pay .5 percent more so that the teachers and firefighters can get back to work for a year or two.
