  • @Romeowasbleeding1 theres a reason the genre is noise.

  • Awesome song, HORRIBLE video.

  • this almost has a tune

  • My high school English teacher told the students to bring and play a song that had a strong "metaphor" involved.. I played this. Got kicked out of class and failed the project.. Thank you The Locust..

  • @ihatemyjobman

if true. that is the funniest thing ever haha

  • @ihatemyjobman

    FUCK THE N.E.A!!!!!

  • @ihatemyjobman Is that a true story? If so, that's awesome haha.

  • This is alright but all this does is encourage more people to make "noise" bands

  • @dopefiend138 dude, people like you are fucking hilarious. you act like noise bands are literally everywhere. in some places, it's fucking hard to find people that don't listen to only the shit on the radio. it's like that kind of shit never even crosses your mind does it?? btw, the locust have always came to me as more of a "core" band anyways. every song i've heard tends to focus on screaming more than making actual noise.

  • @youknowyourrite1 stop assuming all the crap you're spewing and calm down. i never said ANYTHING is flooded with these kinds of "bands" but there are bands that mimmick this crap. there are MANY noise bands out there. do some research then go bitch to someone else

  • this one always gets me in a good mood!

  • This song let me maybe departure from my depressions.

    I <3 it.

  • my goshhhhhhh this is too good.

  • Fuck my life this band is on acid.

  • great song and video!

  • @Romeowasbleeding1 I can't tell if you are trolling... or if you are actually this stupid. Both the Locust and Justin Bieber are music. You shouldn't be so self-centered as to think that your opinion defines what is and is not music. I'm okay with you disliking The Locust, many people do. But don't go spewing out bullshit all over their videos.

  • boom

  • @Romeowasbleeding1

assholes like you are the reason i hate humanity.

  • @VultureVicera

I'm only an asshole to fools, and anyone who listens to this shit, qualifies. So go on... hate humanity, but do us all a favour, and stop supporting shit noise like this.

    thank you in advance

  • @Romeowasbleeding1 jealous?

  • @zouko1

You don't know what you're talking about. This album came out in 1998, and it's awesome in a ridiculous way. This shits hard to play and they are tight live. Yes everyone has their own opinion. A lot of people seem to take them way more serious than to be intended.

  • @zouko1

totally meant to reply to romeowasbleeding, sorry

  • @Romeowasbleeding1 hey man, we stay off the justin beiber vids, why dont you stay off ours?

  • @cocaineface69

Loool... this band and Justin Beiber are very much the same, in that neither of them is music. People don't listen to them for the music, they're just attracted by the image.

  • @OhGodNo666

    One more comment please?

  • I dunno about you guys but i like the Locust AND Whitechapel... I really could not be less bothered to categorize metal into these different genres. Don't even fuckin' bother, man...

  • the locust are the (german) greatfulistischstist Band in the world! There´s no other music who blow my thoughts out of my head! I like the lyric´s the sound and jeahh!!!the gyes tooo!!!!! please come back and make new shit! create again! what ever I bought the merch again and again!

  • Omfg!!

That Sounds like when somebody shoot at the Nurse of a squirrel with a machinegun

I go and hear now Die Apokalyptischen Reiter

  • @dokada5 Actually, Chealsea Grin and Whitechapel have fairly generic vocalists. And lets say he really is just yelling, he hasnt practiced or anything. Doing this will fuck up your vocals. Fast. That fact that they can go through a whole show shows that they obviously have some control. I can see where you would be put of from their vocals, but at least its original. They sound different. Also, I dont think you know what ignorant means.

  • @BananaGeekLord `i dont know what ignorant means? haha thats funny, this music is mindless you think deathcore vocals are generic? so be it i used them for an example. this music takes no talent and it brings a bad name to hardcore in general. i dont give a fuck if you think this is original. this music is a disgrace. no talent.

  • @Romeowasbleeding1 stfu idiot,, go listen to bullet for my vallentine

  • bashing pigs with warpspeed onto dustbins would make the same sound oO

  • sounds like an abortion

  • 0:55 that part is soooooooooo fucking catchy!!

  • I rape to this song.

  • @phubans the family dog?

  • ok this is really stupid

  • Romeowasbleeding1 (hearts) I.C.P.

  • @otis80hobson This isnt grind, listen to Nasum, they wipe the floor with this.

  • @kustomkool hahahahahahahaha

  • @kustomkool o dizzam, don't fuck with juggalos.

they'll show up in their moms makeup and then realize you have a gun and phone the police on ya...

  • @bananaGeekLord to bad hes not screaming properly............

  • the locust got me in crazy unbelievable shape!! no kidding!!

  • @wrarmatei Honestly, I am inclined to agree. I have been practicing my growls and screaming. Growls are much easier to do. I sound like shit for both, but I have a harder time doing screams.

And I definitely understand about the noise. It seems to be more for those who are used to more extreme genres. But I still say its not a bad genre, and some of the people in it(more noise rock than just noise) can easily be listened to by the general population. But those is a convo when there is no limit.

  • this band is so fucking crazzy i love it!

  • this song SUCKS you guys are fUcKiN retards

  • It`s called Mathcore or Chaoscore... a subgenre of Hardcore and Post-Hardcore... Hardcore comes from Hardcore-Punk... my friends, this is Punk-Rock.. xDD

  • @JustAPlan You'r right about the subgeneres, but alesana (poser core, subgenere of post hardcore) is not punk rock XDD

  • @Skullerful Alesana is Emocore / Screamo right? Emocore is a subgenre of Post-Harcore and Hardcore comes from Hardcore-Punk^^ Here we go again xDDD

  • @JustAPlan hardcore punk is a subgenere of punk, so we cand compare the casualities with alesana XDDDDDDDD!

  • @Skullerful ok ok^^ you win... i`ve said what i know...

  • @JustAPlan no. please don't call alesana screamo. please.

  • @dylantheworm808 rly? pls tell me what is alesana then?

  • @dylantheworm808 wait... ok i`m sorry... Alesana is Post-Hardcore... please forgive me... god... i love this band and dont know what genre it is xD

  • lol. somebody actually uploaded a video of me taking a shit. fucking bastards.

  • poor deer :(

  • I understand why people don't listen to this music. But haters try and do what the locust do. There breaks and time signatures are impossible. This Mathcore.

  • this is just... it sucks.

  • what is this music defined as?

  • @luzzieHD ive read it defines as cybergrind

  • @luzzieHD that, my firend is mathcore

  • This is when they were goodD,: i miss em

  • @misternapkin they were never good they have no fucking talent listen to born of osiris thats a truely talented band

  • @missmayiniggaz born of osiris is faggot band.the locust have more creativity and talent that they do in all their lame ass guitar solos.

  • damn it jim, i'm not a magician. and actually not even a doctor. i'm not a fucking doctor. a cuckoo clock never gives the right time. we swim up stream for the cuckoo's dream. it's no surprise just how low some will go.

  • 10 points! This is fucking awesome. Speed, creativity, abruptness, timing, and aggression. Everything music ever should be.

  • ok, so first off...i dont like this all that much. that only because im not accustomed to listening to crazy-ass shit happening all aw once. but i mean, the band obviously knew what they were doing so im not dissing them on all the aspects of their music. but they think it sounds good so i give them credit and respect.

  • El terrible

  • Wow someone on a LoC video told me about this.

I know it takes alot of talent/creativity to do this but fuck..... It just sucks.

    And its 100% meaningless

  • @970punk

Your comment is dense and meaningless. But that's just my opinion, bro.

  • This is the funniest kind of music, I've ever heard xD

    Bullshit

  • now i know howthe song is called which i hear as background music in my nightmares. The sound of this song makes me feel very unconfortable. But Ilike it.

  • watch?v=6Q31WAVZHlI

    Spazcore xD haha

  • well that was short but i liked it

  • Fuck Crazy Shit! Gooooooooooooooooooood!

  • This would be Technical Death metal if:

    The songs were longer

    every keyboard were guitar

    the vocals were deeper.

It's funny that this style is called "noise" when Tech Death is actually quite similar. This of course, has more punk influences. I actually like this band. Sometimes they are REALLY funny (like in Flight of the Wounded Locust), but their songs go from wankery to slightly catchy moments. After listening to Cryptopsy, this isn't the weirdest thing in the world.

  • @Bassbait and well, you know, if it sucked. techdeath has nothing going for it, with possibly two or three exceptions.

  • @Bassbait Dude the weirdest band I have ever listened to is this surf rock/noisegrind band from Japan called Final Exit, look them up. There's a few other bands with the same name but this band is Japanese and has only two member, the guitarist/vocalist and drummer, they're an awesome and insane band.

  • @Necropulsate Ya, they're pretty weird. Have you heard Maruosa? look up "Muscle Spark" if you haven't. The video is hilarious. They're one of the weirdest bands I've ever heard.

  • @Bassbait They are pretty odd I liked that video, Final Exit and Kindergarten Hazing Ritual are two of the weirdest bands I know. Although primarily I enjoy Grindcore, Crust, Thrash, Powerviolence, and Noisecore

  • Listening to The Locust is like having someone take a whip to your ears and then assault you with drumsticks, but for some reason you develop a strange fetish for it and rather enjoy it.

  • This album is my favorite of theres. So many great tracks!

  • any know where to watch the original video?

  • This has one hellava melody. I like it though. heh

  • Anyone saying "this isn't music" clearly has no idea what they are talking about.

This is music in its purest form. It experiments with instrumentation, with rythmic patterns and paces. It challenges the listener.

The entire point of a band like this is to tear down boundaries and rebuild the idea of what music is. The fact that it is as inaccessible as it is just futher underlines the quality of the band.

Look at what punk rock did in the early 80's.

Thank god bands like The Locust exist.

  • thats the point of a noise band

  • @riskygerbil92 i have to agree with you there. my friend said they were funny. its funny that ppl like this shit

  • @riskygerbil92 your comment appears to be a 40 year old virgin with a dildo in his ass unable to listen to anything but miley cyrus because he can't get off to pictures of actual musicians in costumes, only lip synching barbies

  • LOL you call this music? Its a strange kind of noise... omfg XDXDXDXD

  • wth .... i dont like this ... at all

  • Music IS an emotion. And I think this Music has emotions. Shhht...

  • fucking amazing. noise rock <3

  • i like it, its just something ive never heard before

  • damn some of these cmnts get banged on lol

  • damn nigga got blotched on lol what did hellmaelstorm say anyone recall?

  • I think this is a bit too wild for me. I like Naked City better.

  • damn it jim, i'm not a magician.

and actually not even a doctor.

    i'm not a fucking doctor.

a cuckoo clock never gives the right time.

we swim up stream for the cuckoo's dream.

it's no surprise just how low some will go.

  • Not really my speed, but I give them credit for being creative at least.

    Kudos to the drummer especially.

  • this is amazing

as for all the people claiming it isn't music, I would honestly like to see them recreate a Locust set. I'm doubting they are anywhere near as talented.

  • Napalm Death were great. But this stuff lacks any emotion, any depth. It's like listening to Genesis at 45 rpm.

  • SPAGETT! :D

  • Actually, it technically does take talent. Screaming properly takes lots of practice. Just like singing, rapping, or any other vocal technique, you are altering you vocals to a state in which it is not used to, and can really do some damage if you are not carefal. It also takes time to try and aquire a decent sound. I would also like to say that noise is a pretty decent genre, and should not be knocked off because of its name/

  • @BananaGeekLord you hit the nail on the head my dude.

  • @BananaGeekLord ya, but it's still just screaming, It's not music which I couldn't make myself

  • @BananaGeekLord

Noise music is just too tough to listen to for your average metal guy, who considers Lamb of God (or whatever is the new "best" band is) to be the craziest shit ever. Gutturals are quite a bit easier to do for an entire set, than a full-on Pig Destroyer/Gaza/Architect style scream and/or a ear raping Justin Pearson/Number Twelve Looks like You style scream. The higher and more raw a scream is, the tougher they are to do for sustained periods. Gutturals are boring AND cheating.

  • @wrarmatei That's not fair.

  • @BananaGeekLord TRUE DAT MA FRIEND.. screaming vocals are very technical otherwise bye bye vocal chords.. you may scream one song or two but try doing a whole tour, high pitched screams are tough!!! ... and noise as a genre, anyone can make noise, but only the good artists can repeat that noise over and over at different shows.. otherwise it's just improv .. also grind is a very hard genre in the sense that you must remember over 200 songs to play a show, with songs averaging 30seconds each..

  • @BananaGeekLord wow u r ignorant this type of screaming takes no talent to do he is just yelling into the mic if you want to hear good vocals look at chelsea grin, across the sun or whitechapel this is just mindless ignorant noise that has no right even being recorded.

  • @dakoda5 Whitechapel and Chelsea Grin having "good vocals"

    Hahaha

  • @dakoda5 mindless ignorant noise???you don't have the musical ear to recognize the amazing technique of the instruments,it is really, really difficult to play, you're enough ignorant to understand this kind of music,go listen to your shitty bree bree iaaa iaaa deathcore,it is a dying breed afortunetally

  • @WorldEnslaved are you fucked? i dont have the musical ear? watch some of my guitar covers and you will clearly see that i do. the techniques used here are mindless and random. they make up a simple chromatic riff with some shit open notes and you call tht hard? there is nothing hard about this. hard techniques are born of osiris circle of contempt esc music. your retarded have fun listining to you shit noise that brings a bad name to all of hardcore.

  • @dakoda5 Deathcore is a joke bro, get over it.

  • @dakoda5 Wow dude Fagchapel and Chelsea Grin are are homo bands. This may be wannabe Grindcore but it doesn't suck nearly as bad Deathcore.

  • lol if you are trying to label this grindcore then you miss the point of the band

  • @cocaineface69 I didn't I said wannabe Grindcore. This to shitty to be in the same genre as Pig Destoryer and Misery Index this iss just shit.

  • idiot

  • i cant really listen to this, but you gotta give it up for their talent and creativity. especially the drummer who is nuts on sooo many levels lol

  • @itripcripples It's good to see that some people still can respect music for what it is, even if they don't like it. Thumb up for you mate!

  • @itripcripples the current drummer gabe serbian of the locust was actually the guitarist on this album and they had another drummer at this time. pretty cool eh

  • fuckin' awesome :)

  • brah?

  • I like this song JFS

  • best song LOL they crack me up

  • nah brah its schlitzgharfaghkatoodledoocore

  • noise core

  • if you think today's music is talentless and shitty, then get off youtube and go write some good music you think is worth listening to and hopefully other people will agree, of course it'd be awesome to see any of your reactions when people criticize your band for no apparent reason, or better yet try to defend it with bullshit nonsense, that would really piss a lot of you off I'm sure. i know I'd be mad way more mad about that than some random person telling me i suck.

    cant make music? stfu

  • if you shut up will be better, don't ya think?

    :D

"if you don't like it don't listen"

you'll like i go to your favorites vids and start talking shit of them?.

i wouldn't like that, so please.

  • music is a weapon pretentious assholes use to cut each other down apparently.

    nothing more.

here is my response when i hear something I don't like

    "...I don't like that."

and then i go away from it.

of course I don't get off on trying to talk about things I either don't know anything about,

    or

know about and think I'm better than other people because of I know so much about it.

  • Really? I thought your response was to write a mangled paragraph regarding about how you are above all the 'pretentious assholes' who critique music on Youtube.

  • well just write i don't like it :D

    or GO FUCK A COW

    either one <3

  • the locust is great!

  • hmmm... not my cup of tea... I like metal, but this is way outside my comfort zone...

  • All right, all right, Im sorry, I'm going to some christian blog or somethin...

  • you spelled dinosaur wrong, bitch.

  • I was considering picking one of The Locust's CDs.... Now I'm not so sure.

  • Today's youth is defined by their shitty music. What clothes they wear, who they fap to, who they associate with, who they look up to etc. Everything's about cliques, it's so stupid.

  • pretty much, that's why acceptance is such a poisonous word.

  • This is a very talented group that is defined by a complex use of rythm and a UNIQUE attitude. You name a band, loser, and lets see what its got. 50's rock? plagiarized use of penthatonic figurse and transitions. Beatles? ha. the who? haha, Metallica? hahaha, Unless its psyopus, stravinsky, schoenberg or debussy, you are just an ignorant dinosour.

  • Seth, I'm in love with you.

  • You're retarded. The Locust is incredible. Just cause you're fat and old doesn't mean you need to take your anger out on a good band.

  • ya i'm totally fat and old bro, all fat seniors search through metal videos

  • there is a little something called PROGRESSION. While pop bands need 20 years to modernize and change (so uninspired and so all alike), real musicians are the vanguards of musical form and style. What do you know of tonality and rythm? Go and choke while hearing mozart or beasty boys or whatever you hear...

  • What the fuck are you talking about man? All I said was that kids listened to shit music, like they do. I don't know what you're going on about.

  • Lol, enjoying your even elitist troll omgtkseth?

It sounds to me like you are MAD gay for salvador dali or Andres Serrano

  • dont rant about this stuff if you dont know what youre talkign about bud. unliek most people who say this stuff, Im actually being honest when I say I know most everything about music theory. I got a 5 on the AP exam and im persuing it as a second major. i know ap music, and i love hardcore music, an odd combination, i know. but thats aside from the point, these guys have no clue about anything music related. this is the same stuff all bands used except it sucks, its not creative at all.

  • it's what you call "avant garde", things that you find outside of studies. was pollock's style in the books before he did it?

  • so... are you saying you dont liek the locust?

  • xDDD

  • yeah dystopia is grindcore [theyre the shit, checke'm out] the locust is electrocore

  • electrocore? wtf you kids are inventing too much new genres word + core = new genres

... ever heard something of noisecore?

  • Why do people care so much what the next person is listening to? Though I can agree with people saying that The Locust isn't music are stupid. I may hate the music they listen to but I still call it music. And The Locust are a very talented band and should be treated as such. Even when I don't like a way a band sounds I will admit when they're talented. They're not quite as complex a sound as The Locust though so it's not that hard to tell.

  • rip deer

  • I used to hate the locust. Because I've only seen their live performances. But I kinda liked this song. Except the vocals.

  • The guitar, bass, and drums are awesome as shit. But what make the locust is the vocals that needs to looked up every song, and the keyboards.

  • So anyone catch what the lyrics are. Guitar is good but vocals are strange

  • damn it jim, i'm not a magician. and actually not even a doctor. i'm not a fucking doctor. a cuckoo clock never gives the right time. we swim up stream for the cuckoo's dream. it's no surprise just how low some will go. - the lyrics

  • I wonder how they think up songs?

    "hey I was thinking: BOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSH

    some syths and then

    BOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSHBOOSH

  • This is Grindcore, the locust are just a little different, original and fucking brilliant if you ask me, who cares otherwise, it sounds fucking awsome

  • Insect Warfare is Grind. Not this shit.

  • lol, if you dont like the locust why the fuck are you watching the video? if they have no talent how the fuck do they go on world tours? they have been out since the 90's, if they were doing something right they would have stopped. you cant survive from a band that doesnt make money.
