This is a fine version of this tune. 5 stars. But I'm not sure anyone knows for sure who wrote it -- it is considered by many a "Texas" tune because Howdy Forrster played it. Then Bobby Osbourne leaned it from Howdy and recorded a super great mandolin version he called just called "Say Old Man". But I think it was played in North Carloina for a long time even before Howdy was playing it?
Sounds great! Is this really an Eck Robertson tune? I can't find a recording of it by him. Where did you hear it? Thanks. (How about some video next time?)

I must get my head around this tune... being meaning to for years after I heard Eric Thompson's version on guitar. Great stuff!

great skills but ruined a good tune. I like Eric Thompson's version best.

Great picking, but they arranged all the creepy weirdness out of the tune. Too bad.
