@TheTerrorUforgot Most people who were so abused at an early age have no point of comparison so they don't understand what they are missing. As we age our sexual feelings diminish, at a severely exaggerated rate when the most sexually senate and protective part of the penis is gone. You may find yourself becoming aware of a sensual deficit as you get older. Google "Confessions of a Circumcised Man" to get a better understanding of how sexually damaging circumcision is.
@Bonobo3D lmao "abused" No, I haven't had any problems with masturbation, satisfying a partner, or any aspect of my sexual life. I'm sorry you suffer from the misconception that I don't feel happy or "enough" pleasure. The fact is I do. Circumcision is not a disfigurement I don't have any problems with a parent having it done to prevent infections, penile cancer, and the like.
Maybe the discussion about whether it should be a decision made for legal adults will develop, and that's fine, too.
@TheTerrorUforgot You're fine with the distal end of the most primary erogenous zone on your body cut off without your consent to prevent penile cancer?! A cancer that's rarer than breast cancer in men? And utterly preventable just by simple washing? That's like saying you're fine with having your nipples cut off to prevent nipple cancer!
@Bonobo3D Yes I'm fine because I'm not sexually impaired. My glans is just as sensitive, so are the shaft and testicles. My parents also had my teeth corrected without my consent. They used their judgement and made a choice for what they thought was right base.
Nipples cut off? So my penis was cut off all of a sudden? Talk about irrational.
@TheTerrorUforgot No your penis was not cut off, the end of it, the most sexually erogenous most highly innervated part was cut off.
Dentistry where needed cannot be compared with cutting of parts of the genitals.
Foreskin when your penis is at rest serves as a protective custom case. Throwing it away is like throwing away the custom case and bow of a Stradivarius. Insane.
The point is it doesn't stop you from orgasm, pleasure, or functioning. It stops you from having one kind of sensation. I have studies and reviews that show no differences in sensitivity between either sort of penis (on the remaining parts).
Comparing it to real genital mutilation (west african removal of the clit and thus all sensation, followed by sewing it shut) is not only false but insulting to those women.
@Bonobo3D Because it isn't the same thing that happens to women, at all. Those women are controlled because they're seen as their husbands commodity and denied ANY sexual pleasure for life. They're sentenced to a pleasureless life as a baby maker and child rearer. To compare the two is wrong morally and academically.
@TheTerrorUforgot It is exactly the same thing that happens to girls. They are held down at cut in the genitals against their will. The severity varies from that which is less invasive than male circumcision to that which is worse.
Do your research before taking about something of which you know nothing.
@Bonobo3D So foreskin removed, losing one area of sensitivity and gaining health benefits = removing all centers of sexual pleasure and stitching the vagina shut with a small gap for urination and menstruation?
I have done research. You need to learn to talk to people properly, even if you disagree.
@TheTerrorUforgot Stitching the vagina up is the most extreme form of FGM. FGM is practiced with varying degrees of severity from that which is far less invasive than male circumcision a pin prick to the clitoral hood.
But the bottom line is all children require protection from insane people who claim "health benefits" from removing part of their genitals.
@Bonobo3D They aren't insane. I'd take it to the ballots to leave it up to the parents. The whole thing is making a mountain out of a mole hill. Personally, I would let the kid decide later on since it isn't necessary, but I don't hold a grudge against my parents or cry "rape" because I got circumcised. It hasn't hurt me and I'm happy with my body. And frankly I don't give a damn that a bunch of anti-circumcision people think I shouldn't be.
@TheTerrorUforgot Well those "anti-circumcision people" are growing in number just as the people who stood up against slavery did just as the people who spoke up for gender equality did, gay rights etc. None of these efforts have been easy, those who think they are fine with the status quo fought chance, etc. Circumcision has left a bloody wake of misery, children dead, penises completely ablated, so much skin taken full erection not possible, etc. Education is ending forced cutting of children.
@Bonobo3D lol wow so now you're like anti-slavery people.... Good luck with your "movement" I'll be on the side of rational people, and I won't need to twist words to speak my position.
@TheTerrorUforgot The movement for genital integrity rights for all children will continue to grow. History is on the side of those who promote human rights, not restrict them.
@TheTerrorUforgot "A report published, British Journal of Urology assessed the type and amount of tissue missing from the adult circumcised penis by examining adult foreskins obtained at autopsy. Investigators found that circumcision removes about one-half of the erogenous tissue on the penile shaft. The foreskin, according to the study, protects the head of the penis and is comprised of unique zones with several kinds of specialized nerves that are important to optimum sexual sensitivity."
@TheTerrorUforgot See, Fine-touch pressure thresholds in the adult penis. British Journal of Urology Oct 22, 2006 that concluded The glans of the circumcised penis is less sensitive to fine touch than the glans of the uncircumcised penis. The transitional region from the external to the internal prepuce is the most sensitive region of the uncircumcised penis and more sensitive than the most sensitive region of the circumcised penis. Circumcision ablates the most sensitive parts of the penis.
I've never argued that the foreskin isn't the most sensitive, or that the nerves from it are lost in circumcision. I'm trying to get you to acknowledge circumcised men still experience pleasure, orgasm, and healthy sexual function in general unless they suffer from dysfunction or some kind of botched circumcision. Losing foreskin sensation vs the STI, UTI, and penile cancer prevention it can prevent makes this a viable choice for parents, imo.
@TheTerrorUforgot Yes people who have lost part of their genitals to the barbarity of forced genital cutting in childhood usually do still feel sensation to varying degrees depending on the amount that was taken.
You're still trumpeting that "penile cancer" bullshit though. Even the American Cancer Society has stated publicly that circumcision is not a good preventive measure for penile cancer.
Washing the genitals is easy and fun. Cutting part of a child's penis off is ignorant.
@Bonobo3D I can accept you disagree. The thing I'm willing to discuss is the idea of leaving it up to later age for a child, or the issue of a baby needing to give consent. That's fertile ground and I'm willing to give some there.
What is repugnant to me is this angry campaign attacking circumcised men, calling them unnatural or (in some cases) having a "jew penis" instead of a "real penis", or saying their parents didn't love them, they were "surgically raped" etc. Very wrong things to say
@TheTerrorUforgot I never said some of those things you've quotes. I cannot control the anger of other people about this.
Surgical rape is an accurate term for taking part of someone sexual organs away when they were most vulnerable and helpless. After circumcision one does not have a whole penis, one is missing the most erogenous, moving and protective past.
Circumcision forces an unnatural condition on the penis. Simple fact.
@Bonobo3D In the study they were testing with a monofilament. "...when determining the aggregate sensory impact of circumcision, the sensory effects of circumcision on the glans are of secondary significance, because the glans is not removed during circumcision. Instead of measuring changes in the glans after circumcision, it is more important to measure the sensory investment of the parts of the penis removed by circumcision." parts gone vs parts there I wonder which was more sensitive.
this is like waching a bunch of pepole who only no one way of living talking about another way of living that thye have never known so why isnt there a guy on there who has lived with it to balance the argument hes saying its a luy its cleaner but it is with out a doubt cleaner because you dont have to roll anythink back you just wash so bang right there way better sex would be the same if not better il let u work out why
@DePaulProd Yuk! You mean you don't shower before sex? Every cock needs soap and water... circumcised or not. How can you have better sex when the best parts of your cock are missing?
All the "medical benefits" proposed by the pro-circumcision crowd are bullshit!
Circumcision removes the most sensitive part of a man's penis. The five most sensitive areas of the penis are on the foreskin. The transitional region from the external to the internal foreskin is the most sensitive region of the fully intact penis, and more sensitive than the most sensitive region of the circumcised penis.

Fine-Touch Pressure Thresholds In The Adult Penis
"The Reason for circumcision is to bring about a decrease in sexual intercourse and a weakening of the organ in question, so that this activity be diminished and the organ be in as quiet a state as possible. The bodily pain caused to that member is the real purpose of circumcision. Violent concupiscence and lust that goes beyond what is needed are diminished."
Really though I did not choose it, nature chose it for me - I fiercely did not want it to happen and I remained single until I was 25 because of the medical condition I was born with (phimosis).
I'm now coming up to 38 and I still have deep psychological problems - and self esteem "issues".
A more or less straight forward every day simple little problem, has grown in to something of a monster for me.
I was circumcised as an adult on medical grounds - I would prefer to have not been, but for me it was necessary: it has not killed my sex life - my partner prefers it.
There is a small desensitization after circumcision, I especially miss my frenulum.
I've had sex and oral sex with and without a foreskin and frenulum and my sex life is better now because it hurt me before.
Infant circumcision is a horrific sin, and the people who do it and who promote it, should be fucking shot.
It was 11 years ago, the doctors told me I could try steroid creams or have a circumcision, I had a painful skin disease that they could not guarantee would go away, and I'd suffered from it for so long I just said to cut it off.
I don't really regret it, I just hold the psychological scars from my youth.
There are plus' and minus on cut and uncut - it depends on who you talk to.
My surgery removed a painful skin condition and allowed me to enjoy sex.
Do you have concerns? Is this a subject which I could help you on? Feel free to message me if you'd like to get anything off your chest.
If I had not been circumcised there was a chance that my skin disease could have led to me having a meatotomy - where they split the underside of your glans, that scared me so I assumed that circumcision was the only real option, and I'd suffered so much embarrassment by then, I just wanted it all to be over.
Remeber routine circumcion went down from 95% in 1949 tob 10% in 1989 and less than 0.5% in 1995 in New Zeeland without any real public debate, circumcision just died silently and unmourned for-and rightly so...

Not in my case no - but scars could have formed over the years with general use.
It's not something that really bothers me any more, I would have liked to have been born normally of course, but I wasn't so there it is :)
I have a cock, it works, I can't complain too much :)
I've had a few girlfriends who preferred it too.
I am VERY against it with children but it's not a massive problem for adults and I was better off for it.

There were no discussions like this in television prior to the publication of his book?
Did't the anti-circumcision movement gain momentum after the publication?
Wasn't Wallersteins book referred to as the "Bible of intactivism" and did't the 1980s not witness an unprecedented decline in circumcision-rates ?
I do not think he was ignored after all

This should be required viewing by all medical students at the beginning of
each year. Maybe it would teach them to question why doctors need to
understand the consequences and rationales of what they do before
subjecting a patient to procedures. Doctors should refuse to do things just
because they have been done for a long time.
