I know that I should'nt cry, but I did, that little 8 year old girl was realy great, she gives me a lot of hope !!! we need more like her if we're going to save the Planet from rich, stupid, and greedy people.
Just saw several videos on Dawkindotnet channel, I loved Dawkin's quote (back from 2008) : "I was the "bad cop" until Christopher Hitchens came arround" 8D
But it's also true, that "organizing Atheists is like herding cats", for example, I still haven't red "The God Dellusion", because at page 30 or so I was like "there's nothing new, I've realized that myself already", so.. no guidance needed.
IF it wasn't for places (can we say "sh..holes"?) like Texas, there would be no Atheist conventions.
Hitchens looks so skinny now, at least I know he has done more than enough for this world in spreading great wisdom. It would have been amazing if we could have him for another 10 years, and who knows really, but I am damn sure I will pass on his words to generations to come, we will all die, but his words will live on.
LOL, love the 'ol guy who's there to get away from his fundamentalist family and all the crosses and bibles (if I were him I'd look for a permanent escape, I know I did!)
the funny thing is that Rick Perry (along with his pal Bush) are the PHONIEST *christians* you'd ever wanna see...hell I don't mind the *christians* who actually believe in a message of peace and love and caring for your neighbors, and if they believe jesus was God and it helps them be kind, loving people then amen to them...but it's these hateful, bigoted, fundamentalist, my-gawds-bigger-than-your-gawd morons who are dangerous and threaten to destroy the planet with their ignorance and greed
i don't get the atheist conventions that much, i don't really need to be preached to about what i do or don't believe. though in saying that i would gladly congratulate many of the atheist there on their success
@sakar181 "I want to grow up to be a free thinker...my Mom says I'm not but I already am" LOL, I'd say she probably is...and I think she just gave Hitch some hope for the future and also a good chuckle!

Poor Christopher. He once said "I will write until my dying day.", and it appears as if he is trying to keep that promise to himself.

And God said "let there be light". Who was he talking to and why did he need a light. Is God a smoker?

Think living in Texas is bad? Try living in Dumbfucky (Kentucky).

God's favorite game is hide and seek, and he's really good at it, at least nobody has ever found him.

Hitchens, one of those guys I'd actually give an arm for.
Eventho it's horrible, his illness has made for amazing insight and reflection.

Yes, and I think it's wonderful that in years to come she will be able to look back and say, I once met the great Christopher Hitchens.
