Sheryl is someone who already stands on her own. In Alto's own words, "A pro". I'd describe Ranka as a flower about to/in bloom, and I'd say that after a few years, she'd be just as awesome.

Bottom line though, I think both of them are way too good for Alto :P Densest 'epic' character I've ever seen.

Their voices reflect their personalities very well. Let me sum it up for you.

Sheryl = Powerful and Passionate

Ranka = Bright and Radiant

Why I like Ranka: I'd say that while she is certainly a lot more passive than Sheryl, and has much less power in her personality, I think that boils down to her having a lot less life experience than Sheryl. She's been pretty sheltered for almost her entire life. AND YET the moment she left that protection, she stood up to those tasks pretty damn well.

What I like about May'n is that her voice is really powerful, while Megumi's is really soft and I much prefer her singing slow and cute tunes. I don't like Sheryl that much 'cause she has more sweet moments with Alto, haha. But I am Filipina and Megumi Nakajima is half, so maybe I'm being bias? =D

You guys kinda got it all wrong. The reason Ranka wasn't dying with the V-Type infection was because it was transferred to her from her mother which had V-Type infection. Sheryl was dying from it was because she actually caught the disease, only reason she lasted so long was because Grace O'Conner researched the V-Type Infection before and was actually able to supress it in Sheryls body.

Theres such a thing called Immersion. Just because it's not real does not mean that people can't immerse themselves into fiction.. like for example caring about/sympathize with certain characters and hoping all goes well with them as the story develops.

It's quite common for various media to stimulate the watchers/players/readers emotions. It's not a bad thing. In most cases it really adds to the enjoyment.

Actually, it's Vajra cells. She was calling her little queen, because her singing ability can not only stop Vajra from moving and leaving them vulnerable, but can also use her songs to force Vajra into attacking with more powerful attacks.

Aimo is a Vajra love song used during their rare mating seasons, so hearing it during a battle would likely be confusing as hell.
