  • how do you do the cube thing at the beginning?

  • the biggest cup in the world!

  • i use windows and want to do that. but i need windows for all my files, programs and games. but lunix is still cool.

  • Excellent review, very clear and to the point without a lot of the "uhh" and "uhhm" like others pointed out. However, I believe its pronounced "oo-boon-too"

  • if i install it i will get it i will not have to install compizz i have fedora8 is it posible to get that effect on it im new to linux i just got it yesterday night after watching your video i hop you can help me or maybe make a video to show me haw to do it.

  • Use some punctuation! I didn't understand ANYTHING you tried to say!

  • i think you should get a job demonstrating things like this for a living. you seem to know what you're talking about and you dont say umm umm uhh a lot. think about it. great vid.

  • i have windows XP, if i download or buy ubuntu, will it work?

  • Ubuntu is Linux, which is an operating system, like Microsoft Windows. It's not a program that you install.

  • Oh, Thanx

  • you can order a cd for $0 or download

linux from ubuntu's page, well it gonna work.

  • Interesting but very old. the amiga had multi desktops you could slide to reveal behind the current one. And unlike window it was True multi-tasking, no windows-Halting when drive/network ativity happens. (YES the amiga os is antiquated but just wanted to point that out)

  • Excellent presentation. I found myself actually listening to you rather than just watching the video.

  • how do you get the wobbly windows?

  • How do u get XGL??

  • deam dude thats is amazing....

  • I like Beryl though, xgl is cool

  • xgl is really nice, i use it on dreamlinux and it didnt even need to install, it comes out of the box with it, the efects are realy amazing even in my athlon xp 1.5 Ghz with a nvidia fx 5200.

  • Can someone explain to me how to install it on ubuntu? I am new to linux.

  • I've just finished to setup XGL in my linux!!! its great!!! really the future!! almost minority report lol

    \o/

  • You don't give enough credit to the functional benefits of rubbery-looking windows. Combined with "sticking" windows to other windows or to screen edges, the rubber appearance of windows provides highly intuitive visual feedback.

  • Excellent example of why linux on the desktop will not take hold.

Drop the useless cube rotation and write some goddam WiFi drivers! Fuk the 'video wrap around' and give me better laptop compatability.

  • Where's the patch?

  • The expose and the alt-tab are useful. The other eye candy stuff is pointless.

  • Fuk u linux rocks, there are wifi drivers, and if you don't like it use the windows crap.

  • A quick question, is this on by default/synaptic,

Or am i going to have to do the work on my own.

If that's the case, that's not possible.

  • looks very cool! i think i'll download the new ubuntu right away :D

  • I was aware of XGL on Ubuntu for a while, but that's still a great little demo, good job!
