i think the percentage in the flowering refers to the saigyoji tree, if it reachs 100%, yuyuko body uder the tree will be revived and the tree seal will be broken, thus making yuyuko ghost disappear

@bjwdestroyer it's actually the tree... Yuyuko's body was under the tree and her ghost was collecting Spring in order to resurect whoever was under the tree, which was herself. She didn't know that. So after you beat her ghost form, enough spring is released to revive yuyuko's body and make the tree start releasing all the spring, thereby attacking you.

FYI there is a lot more of the touhou franchise. this one is Touhou 7. the windows games go from touhou 6 to touhou 13+

For me this is not Yuyuko's final attack, it's the attack of Saigyou Ayakashi.

@matteste It's neither Yuyuko's or Ayakashi, it's because the seal of Yuyuko's corpse (which stop her soul from being move in the flow of time) was loosen and the tree is 80% blooming, and Yuyuko's soul (ghost) is almost return to her corpse (to the flow of time again), when Reimu defeated Yuyuko, the seal is not recovered right away, but took sometimes, this is the spell of Yuyuko's coprse and soul.

Also, the background of that tree always makes me wonder if it's the corpse underneath the tree that's casting the spell instead of the ghost.

I've been playing normal mode, so I'm not sure if the strat changes or not, but wouldn't it be a lot simply to evade the red butterflies closer to the top of the screen before they split?

That might actually be easier for some players, I don't know--all I know is that it wasn't any easier for me back when I worked on this card years ago. I do know that the famous Japanese player, GIL, does just that though by dodging everything in the top right quadrant of the screen.

@bjwdestroyer Yeah I've found this one's much easier when you push up through the radial shots and take the red diagonals a little below halfway up the screen so they split as they pass you. The timing is a bit tighter, but there's so much more room it's not even funny.

On easy normal, and hard this spell s pretty easy - it's all about moving vertically up while dodging the red diaognal butterflies. But on Lunatic there's a second strem of red butterflies and that disorients the hell out of me.

But how much margin of error would you say this spell card gives you? Are the lasers homing or do they just shift a little very other iteration? I see you dodging the bubbles very close to or even inside their sprites, I wouldn't have the bawls to do it. :P Everything looks SIMPLE but I know for sure that it's a lot more unforgiving in game.

There's not much of a margin of error to begin with. The lasers and bubbles really don't matter because they aren't the main threat. The problem lies in the diagonal red butterflies.

Yuyuko's real body is sealed within the tree. Yuyuko's ghost desperately wants the tree to blossom for whatever reason; doing so will result in killing her. Reimu is trying to stop this from happening cause the tree has a bad tendency to steal souls from living beings and that the essence of spring was stolen. It's not controlling her.

@lordcristale resurrection butterfly is Yuyuko attempting the break the seal on Ayakashi (the cherry blossom) and resurrect that "soul" sealed inside of it. Yuyuko doesn't know that it is her real body that is sealed within. Basically PCB was all about Yuyuko's curiosity after learning that someone is sealed preventing the tree to bloom.

Yeah, it's the white dot, but it's important to note that bullets also have hitboxes. Only when these hitboxes collide do you die, and in the case of bubble bullets, their hitboxes are a lot smaller than their respective sprites.

No, it isn't. If you time it out, sure, but you only need to survive 2-3 waves if you plan to capture it, and you can do that purely through luck. PCB requires you to survive 9 waves, and even though there's no silly swirling butterflies in the mix, 221 still doesn't compare.

Holy moly, and I thought this part of the game was dangerously epic on Normal mode. That cherry tree wants you DEAD. Superbly done, I suppose Reimu is best for the survival cards since attack damage doesn't matter and she has a smaller hitbox?

Hah, well, it really depends. While Reimu does indeed have the smallest hitbox, both Marisa and Sakuya have advantages against survival cards that Reimu doesn't. Most notably is that they have faster speeds; sometimes, Reimu is just TOO slow, forcing you to leave focus, and this can leave you quite vulnerable.

Sakuya also has an extra bomb, but who cares about that I guess :P

BoLaD isn't exactly difficult to capture due to safe spots. Now, if you mean time out BoLaD, then lolno. During the last 30 seconds, Yukari begins a final phase that involves butterflies aimed at you, forcing you to be constantly moving around the screen. GIL has timed out BoLaD though, simply because he is fucking insane and awesome.

Depends on what youtube is using H.264 encoder with a decoder encoders and decoders are not built the same some perform better then others.Mostly depends on how good the youtube encoder and decoder is the encoder matters for a constant bit rate so it makes it easy on play back and streaming the decoder is the thing that will take the most demand on your cpu while your watching it. Even an incompetent decoder should be able to run lagless on a P4 with HT basically a mainstream 2003 PC or later.
