lol...I had a Kalimba too...then my begging daughter claimed how bad she wanted it; I gave it to her..now she doesn't know where it is or WHAT it is....*sigh, kids"....lol...go figue. lol I'll get another one.
It's incredible that since I've been enlightened to the existence of the "Illuminati" and it's long history(according to conspiracy theorists and other sources)as associated with the music industry.that I see the symbolism in many many artists albums and pictures. As a matter of fact,if you look at the majority of EW&F art work, tell me what u SEE! Be it coincidence or NOT,I see Illuminati symbolism! Here the pyramid with the all seeing eye.Secret societies date back to Egyptian days. NWO!
@islandersarehot Cosign!!! You can build on the first 3 seconds ALONE!!! Loop it and group it and you would have an underground hip hop smash on bassline alone!!!
I'll never forget how 200 people could move in unison, during a time when people went out to have a good time, not go out and kill each other. 53 years old, thank you for the memories. NOBODY sat, when this was played. The place was the "Bounty", the band was "Harvey Jesus and the Snakes", jamming on the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans. This song was will always be with me. I wish I could grab you thru this screen and bring you back to a great time, the mid 70.s. Thanks again.
one nice thing about the 70's was the African renaissance in US pop, & funk music - remember Stevie Wonder's Talking Book LP - realize that that outlook was revolutionary, American racial prejudice had mocked, reviled, denigrated the jungle/tribal origins of African-American people for centuries. (Sure there were fierce barbaric African tribes, as there were European tribes - we're all tribal in origin). But the cherishing of African heritage was new & special, a transformation -- & so good
i mean i had to review the number of hit s again to be accurate with my post thats why we all are about to be post as in out less than 4000 hits have yall lost yall damn mind no wonder yall gotta sample i mean make up shi-----t and improvise and ya improvision need vision i love me so much sis jalilah get some damn instruments and stop making excuses how uncle charlie promises u a kalimba or how the person in line in front of u on line bought the last one just get an instrument and stop stealin

Drum song is another great song with a lot of kalimba in it. Very Afro-centric. And the live pre 1975 EFW on you tube is rare and good to see. Lot,s of great vids and songs ,like i don,t want to be lonely tonight, power & the children /keep your head to the sky, whew!!
I could see this being used for a Trailer of a Taratino film. anyone agree?

Something that Kareem and Dr. J listened to way back into the 70's which certainly enhanced their basketball skills

I used to have a kalimba but times were hard and I sold it to one of the guys in the band.
