It is a Divine mother energy which resides in the sacrum (sacred) bone of every human being. It can be awakened by an enlightened person who doesn't need to touch you and doesn't need to take any money from you. Through Kundalini awakening, you get your Self Realization, your Yoga - Union with the Divine.
I find this to be a little psychadelic (forgive the spelling). IN some ways it's lovely as a form of self-expression, but I think it would be a deterrent for many people due to it's graphicness. This experience is not necessarily experienced by all in this way, and so I feel it does give a concept of kundalini and enlightenment, and one which Sri Sri Ravi Shankar would not advertise or endorse. i'm going to disagree. the full kundalini awakening is rare. the indian scriptures explain it. it results in the awakening of the seventh or highest chakra. then cosmic consciousness ensues. do you ever hear of Yogananda describing this in his poem samadhi? no. does that mean it wasn't "samadhi"? no. and as to the fully enlightened, they do not need to awaken the kundalini in this way either (so as to pass through the spine from the base to the head).

yes i awakened mine last year, ran up my spine and into my head, i felt bliss like never felt before, also like a floating mind, and like i had no physical body and that i was connected to whole everything that exists, i done it during meditation, but this is kundalini, which you can achieve in kundalini yoga i think. the snake that climbs up spine is kundalini.

The thing is belief makes things real to them, and their perceptions, i personally very much believe in this. But the way you just put it down is very... closed. Without an imagination, there is no creation.. What would you know if it weren't for imagination? All of the accumulated "knowledge" you'll find in a science book began as thoughts... imagination. If you are activating your mind, your opening doors otherwise closed, if you leave those closed you can only rely on a book to find "truth". But before Kundalini may enter you, you should have your Chakra's fully developed and you, as the body facilitating it, should be in a healthy condition to host the energy. Is this not the case, then the Kundalini can get stuck and the energy can kill you, for it is too much for you.

no, there are several stages of enlightenment! The "ultimate" enlightment which is connection with God's intelligence is supposed to be achieved only with Kundalini -hence, its activation is rare, hence, so many people today cannot see "the light of God" and have divine inspiration and we witness the tragic results around the world! i've heard claims in yoga circles about the pineal gland being the center of god consciousness, too, but what i am saying is that you don't have to experience the kundalini ascending from the base of the spine to the head (as is typically described in indian scriptures). so perhaps the pineal gland is activated in another way. peace to you Angelos.

actually you think wrong because the energy of the Kundalinin HAS TO PASS through the pineal gland in order to activate the last chakra which is the one that offers enlightenment! There is no such thing as full 'enlightenment' without having full Kundalini arousal.

i'm going to disagree. the full kundalini awakening is rare. the indian scriptures explain it. it results in the awakening of the seventh or highest chakra. then cosmic consciousness ensues. do you ever hear of Yogananda describing this in his poem samadhi? no. does that mean it wasn't "samadhi"? no. and as to the fully enlightened, they do not need to awaken the kundalini in this way either (so as to pass through the spine from the base to the head).
