  • sounds likethe siren off of the crown for engine 51 in emergancy

  • hey in my department we r set up to pull trailers with out HR but we dont becuaes we got a SUV forour trailerss

  • @kalahiki808 Doesn't HFD a fireboat similar to the FDNY's one? I think it was called the "Moku Ahi" I think... We only have one of those though...

  • @MrFerrara112 HFD also uses Seagraves, but they're used as reserves. Most are used nowadays...

  • Most of the trucks out there are Pierce Quantum and a few Spartans

  • @garlic287 In Hawaii, most times you would see Heavy Rescue Trucks towing a boat, no matter what the situation.

  • that response siren encourages the fire fighters to respond quicker: they dont have to listen to it as long it's sooooo annoying.

    but, great vid man!

  • Kinda funny seeing an HR towing a boat.

  • What's that siren for before the trucks leave?

  • @box15c22 its to warn drivers on the road that they are gonna pull out

  • @kalahiki808 why doesnt The fire department Have some marine-firefighting boats boats that are in the water full time like FDNY's Firefighter II.

  • @fresh5951 they do. but it wasnt needed in this rescue call as the boat was overturned and not on fire :)

  • @kalahiki808 why doesnt The fire department Have some marine-firefighting boats that are in the water full time like FDNY's Firefighter II.

  • Big problem with electronic sirens : you cannot hear them from the sides at an intersection, since the speakers project the sound straight ahead.

  • @k0smon any speaker will project the sound in the direction it faces...

  • @kalahiki808 I wonder if anyone has tried side facing speakers? Anyone around you using the 'Rumbler'?

  • @k0smon many of our smaller vehicles use only electronic sirens, or electronic sirens imitating air pressured sirens, and ou perfectly hear them around corners and at intersection. When the sound waves are outside the speaker, they spread to all directions, not just to the front

  • ahhhhh they had to hook up the boat... thats why it took them a minuet

  • I got a huge laugh once from a HFD FF. He told me his closest mutial aid engine came from San Francisco!!!!

  • @PoppaBlue59 lol nice :D hope it floats lol

  • some times the new rigs are like computers you just have to reboot. sh.....t happens but the got out.

  • Whats the boat for was it a water rescue call?

  • that is pritty cool

  • thats sick i dont think ive ever seen a fire truck pullin a boat before usually theres like a smaller utility truck pullin it

  • ive never seend a rescue that size tow a water craft lol awesome vid bud

  • That rescue is kick ass.

  • that siren sounds like a crying baby...

  • I think it took the Rescue unit so long because they had to hook up they trailer and what not..

  • my city uses that exact siren!

  • I believe it is to inform traffic that a truck is rolling out of the station. If you notice it starts when the ladder pulls out and comes back on when the rescue pulls out.

  • explorers in blue?

  • They had to hook up the boat before responding

  • Wow, a boat. Unexpected. Was wondering how they could possibly respond to an overturned boat. lol

  • i am sure that is why they were slow, that and having to let the truck air up. What the hell was that noise that sounded like an air raid siren?

  • Just depends which units are first due on scene.

  • @irishfireguy and hook up the boat

  • Maybe Rescue 2 was slow because they had to attach the boat, I don't know, but maybe since it did take them a little bit longer...

  • The good thing is the rescue truck is moved to a different station because its near by the docks at the west side of ohau

  • rescue 2 is a little sluggish. but cool vid .

  • wow they tow a boat with them \

  • gotta watch this vid...."DPFD Fire"

  • they tow a boat? wow. would'nt it be quicker to keep it docked at a central point somewhere? then you wouldnt have to spend time finding a boat launch that would fit such a huge rig.

  • HFD needs to put federal q sirens on their rigs, they sound like ambulances. Cool vid though.

  • The german Martin Horn is annoying and thats why on body uses it

  • Martin Horns are annoying as hell.

  • o ok

  • What's going on? What happened ?

  • Hey kalahiki808 would you put some more HFD responding?

  • alot of fire trucks dont have Q's and some dont even have EQ's.. but they sound soo much better with them

  • what is that siren after ladder leaves?? :S:S

  • i think it a siren on top of the building

  • its called a house siren it warns people that there is a call but this one is very annoying

  • i know what it is i was just saying i have one on top of my firehouse too.

  • Im guessing it took Longer for R2 because they had to hitch up the boat...which is probably a pain to get down the ramp and into the water with a Rescue truck. Props to the drivers of that rig.

  • Buy the way i live by station 6

  • i dont think HFD has the Q

  • Dam that was one sick siren Use The Q next time they will move

  • eh i am hungrey where the MANAPUA and HOT MADASADAS LOL

  • so do i they are nice trucks i have to disagree with honolulu getting rid of their seagraves

  • Only some of them beacuse some of new pierce trucks are to wide and can't fit in some small stations like the the station i live right aross the street

  • what, never seen a Heavy Rescue before?

  • i have the rescue at J.T.F.D is a lot nicer than that. i just don't like that type of truck

  • Comment removed

  • I wonder why Honolulu dosent use Federal Qs.

  • does your fire explorers get to ride along?

  • sadly, we don't get to =[

  • @kalahiki808 why not

  • What is that siren noise that keeps going off after the truacks leave??

  • just a warning signal that plays before the trucks roll out to let traffic know that they are coming out. it runs for like 45 seconds or something.

  • Oh OK, Thanks.

  • The delayed response of the rescue was to attach the boat.

  • My dad when he got into HFD 15 years ago he worked at Station 31 as a recruit now hes Fire Fighter 3 at Nanakuli he told me Resce 2is going to where I live Mililani Mauka

  • yup. the rescue captain informed us of that last week. they leave january 12

  • I hared about it

  • hahaha! i was like "come on rescue! come on! lets go!" lol love the trucks in Honolulu the yellow is pretty tight.

  • I LOVE Heavy Rescue units!!!!!!!!! Sweet!!

  • Now I'm not trying to slam anyone or anything like that but I have always thought that to be classified as a Heavy Rescue you have to have certain equipment on the rig like a crane.

  • I've seen all kinds of Heavy Rescues, and not one of em had a crane on em lol

  • woo hoo!! A NEW RESCUE!! RESCUE 1's TWIN!!

  • i know of one station that has a tower, Station 9 at Kaka'ako. and the other, i think is at Station 40, Kapolei. im not entirely sure though

  • how tall the truck is? about 10-11ft. the ladder? 65-75ft.

  • thats just a warning siren for cars. it usually goes off before the truck pulls off to warn them that they coming out

  • what is that siren around 1 minute
