  • Ya know when I was a kid and watching this movie I never really understood this song. I didn't realize Cornelius was singing a sad song. Not too long ago I happened to stumble upon this song and it hit me he was singing to a child near death. He is a great singer.

  • I honestly love this movie and the beautiful soundrack. It just sucks how so much has changed..:(

  • I'm the only one in my family who still likes this movie and you know what I'M PROUD!! I miss the good old days when I could watch this with my brothers and sister. Whenever I hear this song I remember when we were close and when we would always take time out of our day to spend a movie together :')

  • if you hear the version in hebraw of this song...this version is not much near it...

  • I love this song so much. I cry everytime I hear it because it reminds me of a friend of mine who is constenly in and out of the hospital. I can't imagine this movie without this song. I love Michael Crawford in this movie and I loved him in Phantom he is an amazing entertainer. ^_^

  • I remember the song when I first heard it. I was put off by how slow it was and how I thought it slowed the story down.

And now almost 10 years later this is the song from the movie I listen to most. Ah, how I wish we would try to make excellent films again. =')

  • This was such a tearful song. THank you Crawford.

  • This is a good song. It may be sad. But I like it.

  • This movie IS my childhood. Dear Lord, when did I turn 18?! Ugh. Well they sure don't make stuff like this anymore:P My 7 year old sister likes the stuff I grew up with better than the crap they have nowadays. And that's saying something!

  • I want my childhood back :'( I'm 20 now. This is the kind of stuff I'm gonna show to my future children. Not the crap they have now

  • @AlisonJohnson91 I agree with you on that. This is definitely what children today should be watching, not what's on today.

  • This song is a crying movie. I couldn't stop crying. it's absolutely faboulos.

  • This is such a beautiful song.

  • @tigereyes1994 It really is. Doesn't Michael Crawford do an outstanding job?

  • @TripleCCC05 Yes, he does :)

  • :')

  • Beautiful, beautiful. I remember singing this as a child... barely, but I remember.

  • I can't seem to hum this song for more than 6 seconds without feeling the urge to cry :'(

  • @PaigeXreiki14 I know, it's a pretty sad song. I'll admit I have actually cried while listening to this song.

  • Personally, I don't see how this is a bad movie, I think it's actually a pretty decent one.

  • even though the movie sucked but hell they have Michael Crawford singing this! May he rest in peace.

  • @rockinamber18 Actually, Michael Crawford is still alive.

  • @TripleCCC05 I loved the movie :/

  • @Phantomdubber I loved it to.

  • Forget the foolish badger girl! EDGAR, is the real sob story here!

  • @penguinking93 Totally. I cried so much when his parents died!!!

  • This is such a sweet song and movie!

  • This made me cry :"(

  • Michael Crawford actually stated in an interview that he had a hard time singing this because he knew he would be singing this to a child who was on the brink of death. He kept crying during recordings.

  • @emoviebuff87 I did read that, and I can understand why he had a hard time singing this song.

  • @kkana90 I have a video copy too. I haven't watched this movie in ages though.

  • @kkana90 Really? I read that they thought it sent mixed messages and taught kids to hate humans.

  • I just can't comprehend why this movie was a failure.

  • @AlabamaSoldier Me neither, really.

  • @AlabamaSoldier

Probably due to poor advertising and a limited release. Same with another David Krischner-produced film CATS DON'T DANCE.

  • @VerySourLemon But Cats Don't Dance was a better movie!

  • @dolphinluv2413

    True...

  • @VerySourLemon Cats Don't Dance had better animation, better music, better characters, and better story!

  • @dolphinluv2413 Yeah I know. But apparently WB didn't think so. I personally think that the more obscure an animated film is, the better it is. This and CATS DON'T DANCE are good examples.

  • @VerySourLemon Both this and Cats Don't Dance are wonderful films, and I'm lucky to have them on DVD.

  • @AstralDragoon I agree, I too have them on DVD. It's just what I was trying to say is that both WB and Fox probably didn't have enough hope for both of those films and that's probably why they were failures.

  • Michael Crawford has such a gorgeous voice!

  • @esalvatore111 I agree! He is one of my favorite Broadway actors.

  • Omg That is sooo stunning...Im looking through sountracks of my childhood, drinking and crying....so beautiful

  • @gezkah Well, I'm glad you're enjoying listening to this great soundtrack. :)

  • Beautiful song :)

  • The most incredibly beautiful, charming, heart wrenching song ever. so so sweet, slightly sad,. The voices, just move me emotionally so deeply, Reminding me, just what children are supposed to be, innocent pure, and such a joy, having children, is the icing on the cake, what life is all about, and the greatest gift, for tomorrow. Thank you for posting such a incredible Video, Love and peace to everyone. LOL .

  • love the movie love the soundtrack soo much emotion.

  • This song brings so much back. I about to cry thinking about her parents and when I thought she was going to die! Omg! Thank you for the upload!

  • @xXxSourxJanexXx You're more than welcome. I kinda got teary eyed myself, when I watched this movie.
