  • I studied french for 3 years in high school. I graduated 8 years ago...watching this video made me want to brush up!

  • search for local jobs careerstarttoday .info tons of new job listings

  • This guy does Brent very well. But did they really have to copy the first scene word-for-word?

  • Wow, this show WAS just copied and pasted from the UK version. Will say US beats UK by quantity, imo, but still, just wow.

  • OK HERE: I LIKE THE UK VERSION AND THE US VERSION, EVERYTHING ELSE IS DOG CRAP.

  • wow this guy totally copies ricky gervais!

  • The original UK version and this one are the 2 best.

  • @undrugged US is the best. Serisouly, UK and this one look like amateurs plaaying theaters..but I have a lot of respect for the UK version because they invented the concept.

  • @Amokrane1986 I have no words for that comment...I am speechless. Goodbye.

  • @undrugged Take it easy :) That's only my personal point of view! And it's probably biased by the fact that I saw the US version first..

  • @undrugged And your point of view is biased too because you are from UK so you'll have a natural tendency to favorite the UK version!

  • Great stuff - regardless of language - at last a true common denominator most of us work-a-days can relate to

  • jaime mieux la version americaine/i prefer the american version!! michael is way funnier!!

  • TROP BON !

    j'en veux plus :(

  • Comment removed

  • This is the Quebecois version!

  • funny even tho i dont speak french

  • The Ricky Gervais/Steve Carrell character reminds me of every male French teacher I've ever had.

  • Maybe because he's speaking French.

  • Yeah, but it seems like he is copying them.

  • Well... he is. All the versions apart from the American one follow the same sort of plot line as the english.

  • This actor is so funny. A very good David BRENT. Awesome

  • I don't speak French, but just watching his face and the way he explains everything makes me laugh all the same.

  • He's as pathetic as Carrel's David and Gervais' David. Sometimes even more

  • Wow, I like Vezina's take on the David Brent character. And I like the choice of David Gervais for his name. Vezina does this little lip bite that really evokes Ricky Gervais. I wish I could understand the language. Are there any subtitled versions uploaded?

  • You're right, Vezina's David evokes Ricky Gervais a lot. But he also brings a lot of others things that are really hilarious to the french canadian. The tone he takes, the way he explains things, the way that he uses english expressions in all situations to make himself sound cooler etc... It's really well done, he's a perfect french canadian ass :) (I'm one so I know what I'm talking about) . It's a real shame that they stopped after one season.

  • They canceled the Chilean version after a very short run too. A lot of people there were extremely disappointed. Now the DVDs are reaching cult status. I swear I have no idea what is going through the heads of these TV execs sometimes.

  • The text is almost a translation of the original. But the guy's great.

  • @SylvanaForrester YEAH HE DOES A LIP THING WHICH FOR ME WATERS DOWN THE REAL RICKY G'S ACT, I WOULD OF LIKED TO SEE SOME EVOLUTION THERE.... OH WELL

  • I love the bluetooth, that is so clever.

  • It might be, if I was saying David Brent=Ricky Gervais. But he isn't. He's a fictional character created by Gervais and Merchant, and is open to re-interpretation by different actors from different cultures. Steve Carell's Brent is not the same as Gervais's Brent, and this actor's Brent is different too - as it should be. So I repeat - he's trying to be David Brent, not Ricky Gervais.

  • Love Quebecois French ^^

  • HA!

LMAO this is some funny shit

  • Hey, could anyone who speaks french tell me whether the Quebec french and the France french really differ from each other?

  • They're as different as American and British english. I personally have to watch France french films with subtitles. But I can understand Quebec french. Different slang, different terms, different swears, different accents, different culture. Different everything.

  • Oh, thank you for answering. I presumed that the culture and the terms would be different, just wondering if the language was very distinguished. Thank you though!

  • hum.. that's very unpleasant of you to say that if you take the fact that YOUR people went there and colonized the country. you would be laughin at your ancestor.

  • cause you think your own accent isn't unpleasant, it sounds so uptight like YOU were from another century. We speak like Americans, like modern people...

  • Sorry... who are u talking to?

  • the interesting thing to note is that in ontario, french immersion students (like myself) are taught parisian French. Its strange when even after years and years of practice its more difficult to understand someone from your own country than someone from across the ocean

  • Yeah it's soooo true. I met a girl from Calgary who speak a perfect French, an International French. I was able to understand her easily, but she had some difficulty to understand some of the expressions and accents, but we were able to understand each other. It's not like talking to people who don't speaks your language, still the same language.

  • they must do, theyve got a quebec "the office" and a french "the office"

  • Looks funny dont understand it...

  • the office adaptation? im curious..

  • yes it is la job is adapatation office from uk they made first mypetridish

  • man I'm bilingual and this is great its more like the American office than the brittish ricky gervais one. good job man Cheers !

  • Non, il veut etre David Brent. I only understand a little French, but I recognize the scene and I know the script. I think he does it quite well. I would find him funny. I also watched a couple of scenes from the French (France) one, and I think this (Canadian) David Brent is better.

  • it's like a half gervais, half carrell version of Brent

  • total copy of the english one just in a different mix of french spanish and itallian he even thinks he has the look wankerrr

Tu as vu juste.
