  • You do the math. It's that simple.

White republicans + Love guns + Hate minorities = Bogus hate crimes.

  • This is, hands down, the best gun control politics video I've seen on youtube yet, and I watch a lot of gun/politics videos, and am subscribed to a lot of the "firearms channels." Gun rights isn't a "left vs. right" issue, it's a free people vs. entrenched power issue. The truth is--most politicians don't like the "common man" having guns, as it can present a treat to their safety. Unfortunately it is necessary for the "common man" to remain free and safe from abuse--whether by the state or

  • @wcropp1 criminals. If studying political science taught me anything, it was that a free society must always be on the offensive to maintain the rights they have and/or should have. Consolidated power has a way of being self-serving and ever-increasing. Republicans aren't the defenders of gun rights that many people make them out to be. That being said, neither are most Democrats. This is why we must ensure that, whichever party we support, we make certain that the politicians we elect are

  • @wcropp1 a reflection of our personal values. No, we're probably never going to have any "perfect" politicians, as it's very difficult to please everyone and still win political office--politicians by their very nature must appeal to the moderate-centrist crowd to win elections. However, I'm certain there is enough discontent to make them reconsider some of their less desirable policies. If a politician is being unresponsive to the wishes of the people, vote accordingly.

  • @wcropp1 And to everyone whining because race was discussed in this video, don't forget that it hasn't been all that long ago (less than 50 years) that African Americans finally won their civil rights. The mistreatment of the black community did not end with slavery. Am I saying that someone like myself, a 20 something year old white guy, should be held personally responsible for the history of oppression in America? No. However, it's quite difficult to learn from something when you "just don't

  • @wcropp1 talk about it." All racism is ignorance--no matter what color skin the bigot preaching it has. However, we cannot deny historical fact. There is little we can do to remedy the past--indeed, the best way to make up for the injustices committed by our forefathers is to learn from their mistakes and never make them. This only happens by being aware of what they did wrong, and why it was wrong. The Black Panthers were absolutely NOT the "Black KKK." The "New Black Panthers" are a bit of a

  • @wcropp1 different story, however they have nothing in common with the original Black Panthers other than the name. The Black Panthers fed hungry children and defended communities from police misconduct. Were they all perfect? No, but is anyone? Many of their leaders were also systematically murdered by the United States Government. No, racism is not "over." Education has helped decrease the number of ignorant bigots in the world, but it will be a long time before everyone can hold hands and

  • @wcropp1 sing kumbaya. Simply because a group of people had the guts and know-how to defend themselves does not make them a racist organization--in fact, they were simply a race/class conscious organization reacting to the racist and often classist policies being pursued by the U.S. Government and American society at large. Anyone not being treated fairly should organize to defend themselves--whether an Irish Catholic immigrant or a Korean American. The beauty of American is the rights we are

  • @wcropp1 guaranteed (whether in practice or simply on paper), which gives us some ground to stand on to make our case against an injustice. These few basic rights protect all others. Simply because we have matured as a culture doesn't mean our past is dead or that we can simply pretend like it never happened, for if we do that--we won't be able to respond when it comes around again, as history always repeats itself--that is why its lessons are so important. Sorry for writing a Treatise on Race

  • @wcropp1 and Freedom in your comments section. Good video man--subscribed.

  • It's actually pathetic that as soon as you (the commentators... not all of them) see this video, you automatically attack the racism. He was giving an example, so don't go attacking it.

Spann- great job with the research, sorry you get these rediculous comments about racism.

  • And then to go on and say that politics is a ploy to cover up the fact that white people are scared of black people with guns is ignorant. I dont think ANYone is "scared" of a person carrying a gun...but they ARE scared of the ones that like to shoot people with them REGARDLESS of their skin color. More of a reason for people to responsibly carry and own firearms. This isnt a race issue so dont make it one.

  • @amilkar1964 Youre an idiot. This is why racism is still a problem in this country today.

  • @AKdreamz So rather than address the fact that Gun Control has been used by both parties and dispute the facts of what I'm saying, all you can do is sit up and call me an idiot without actually arguing about the facts. And I'M the idiot. Please pick up a book or something. it might help you get past your ignorance.

  • @SpannTV Well first of all, I wasnt talking to you unless your name on here is also "amikar1964". In that case, you need to get a life. To say that white people are scared of blacks owning firearms is nothing more than a racist remark...calling the kettle black. Are there any lawmakers currently today that would like to get rid of Guns? SURE. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Cass Sunstein etc..But not ONE of them has been advocating the revocation of the second amendment for JUST black people.

  • @AKdreamz I just got home and I was responding from my phone. The e-mail that I got didn't say that you were talking to somebody else. It just alerted me to a new comment on the video, so I assumed that you were speaking to me. Seeing how I'm the one who posted the video. My mistake. Proceed with your discussion.

  • Great video Brother.

  • I am done at 5:30. I was hoping you were'nt going to go there with the race/opression thing. Maybe it's true, maybe not, but were waaay past that now. We all need to stick to the Second, and all that it represents for everyone and get over the god damn past. Not half as many people are racist anymore -like portrayed on fox and MSNBC. Check out my good friend Gunnut1980 if you want to see some real common sense.

  • @TriggerFinger338 This video wasn't about race or oppression, it's just a known fact that the Mulford Act was used to un-arm the Black Panthers. (Not these new dudes calling themselves Black Panthers) What it did was inadvertently affect everyone, because now people that the law wasn't targeting were affected as well.

People in California can open carry but their gun has to be UNLOADED. What's the point of carrying around an unloaded gun when seconds count?

  • @SpannTV Understandable. It's just that there is alot of racial pressure right now and the administration(if you choose to accept the edvidence) is somewhat escallating the tension. I'm nowhere near racist in any way and see the need for everyone to support and exersize our rights as a whole. We're all Americans on the brink of unity. This would be a bad time to allow a breakdown of the progress in the civil rights department. There are bigger fish to fry!

  • Damn !!! Now that's how you do it. Make points with recordable facts. Thanks man because this armed me with a whole lot of shit to talk when I go to work tomorrow. Oh, and the Oscar Grant verdict was bullshit !!!

  • thanks i did not know this

  • Excellent points.

  • u make a lot of sense bro, keep it up
