@LambsBreath2 If you don't follow vlogbrothers the author signed all 150,000 first printings of the book. His brother drew a angler fish on 7,500 of them and his wife drew a yeti on some when she got bored of watching him sign the books. Only one has a Yeti and a anglerfish

@IchBinWeidenholz lol yeah i figured they'd be gone by now i was just kidding. i checked all of the copies in my Chapters and i got a purple signature. the lady that directed me to the stand (they were hiding it -.-) told me that some other nerdfighters had been in there hanklerfishing too but hadn't found any. i only thought later that i should have made some notes to put in the books for nerdfighters to pick up.

Aww, I bought my book yesterday. It's actually my first John Green book. I've never read any of his previous works. I didn't know the books had the fish or the yeti on them and now i'm sad :( I just got the first one there and was already happy that it was signed. If i had known about the yetis, i would have checked all the other books there.

@delanoca They are pretty rare.. for some reason there were just a bunch of Hanklerfishes in my area. But the J-scribble is freaking awesome! And are you done TFiOS yet? Isn't it amazing?! I totally recommend reading John's other books. They are all wonderful.

@WhyHelloShelby Oh, yes, I preordered on Amazon so I have a J-scribble, and it's awesome, but I've been hoping to be able to find a hanklerfish, and then I would give my old copy to my friend so that he will finally indulge me in my John Green obsession by reading one of his books :D Plus, having a hanklerfish would be about the coolest thing on the world that happened to me...well, the coolest TFiOS related thing, but still REALLY cool.

I totally went to all the bookstores in my area and looked at every single copy of TFIOS to see the signatures too! I haven't found any hanklerfishes or yetis yet. I wonder if bookstore employees around the country wonder why people are so obsessed with the first page of that particular book!

It's funny, I went into a Chapters a week later to pick up the book for a friend and asked one of the employees if she knew of any fish in the books and she was just like, what? But she totally helped me look through all the books and then I got to explain the Hanklerfish and a bit of Nerdfighteria to her!

There were 2 signed copies left today, both blank ink. No yetis, colored or hanklerfish at the one at my store, the employees looked for them when the books came in, another girl had checked the other chapters in the city and hadn't found any.

I went to my local Books a Million and Barnes and Noble to go Yeti and Hanklerfish hunting, but Books a Million didn't have any Hanlerfished or Yetified ones, and Barnes and Noble just didn't have any in general... :(

But I still got an awesome book so it's okay :3

@WhyHelloShelby That's how it is in Norway. I guess it's because the most popular young adult fiction is either fantasy or written by Norwegians. I found it a bit hard to relate to the boarding school setting in Looking for Alaska, and I'm 22, so teenagers might not get it at all.
