im a bus driver. ive been hit 3 times in a year while stationary at a bus stop loading passengers. i now drive every day with headlights and full interior lights on regardless whether its bright sunshine or midnight. stll have vehicles pulling out infront of me every day but at least now when i file my accident reports i can say "well i made my small (40 foot long, 14.5foot high) bus as visible as possible...."
I'm a bus driver in Yorkshire & it's incredible the number of people who drive their cars into our buses then get out & say "I never saw you!" It's a 30 foot+ fucking bus!!!
@GITTUCK77 you guys get too close sometimes and there are way too many of you so we have to pay a lot of attention. London streets are very small too and it's not an easy place to drive indeed for those who are used to large streets like in USA. anyway I don't remember driving myself into a red bus, it's more like the contrary. lol
*i also hate the fact parking in London during peak hours is a miracle and there are almost no parking lots. -.- that leads drivers to insanity.
I had to see a low-loader around that corner once, or my bus wouldn't have gone anywhere! It's been a pain since they installed the crash barriers, but looks like car driver tried it on and failed.
