@puppyprincess12345 My hair grows the same as most other people's; about 6 inches a year, so about 7 years total for all the hair length. The secret is to just not cut it, no matter what. You can cut a little off for split ends, but the key is to prevent them by brushing your hair before showering, don't overbrush, don't wash more than 1-2 times a week, etc. :)
@naturekeene7 yep, you're right, but there is a lot of people that aren't able to think, I mean, that's obvious, but 90% of the girls who want long hair think "cutting makes it grow" since it has no logic, cutting it won't make it grow, let it grow and it will obviously do haha =)
@naturekeene7 Great news indeed. I hope that this time you don't trust Locks of Love, which warehouses, sells or trashes 99% of the hair they receive. I hope that you and your husband continue to enjoy your sensuous locks! LOL
@rac717 they actually make wigs 4 the children my sister has a wig from them that was free of charge that she got when she was little and when she got older and it didn't fit they made her another for her senior prom and i used to have cancer and they provided me with a wig
@4EverDancer8 I can understand why you'd feel grateful to them. The fact remains that they use maybe 1% of the hair donations that they receive, according to their own figures from 2002. That's a bad deal for those who love their hair, IMO. Of course, I'm elated to hear about your cancer recovery! God bless!
@valtuber It gets sold if it is not usable for their wigs. If the hair is too grey, colored, too short, etc, they will sell it to help defray the cost of the $1000 wigs! I don't mind.
@TheCardGuy521 It's for those who have a condition such as alopecia, which causes people, mostly children to lose their hair, and doesn't grow back. It is not for cancer patients, as a lot of people think.
First you have to brush it before getting it wet, or it will be very damaging to comb/brush it afterward. I just apply shampoo, rinse, apply conditioner, rinse, and then rinse with cold water after I am done with my shower to smooth the cuticles of the hair. Air dry, never blow dry.
@JstTera99 It was getting hard to take care of, I usually just kept it in a braid, and I wash it only about 1 time a week. I always brush it before getting in the shower, and lather it up with shampoo, then rinse, then I use conditioner, keeping it in for a few minutes, then I rinse it with cold water. I let it air dry. :)
@SupaSinga101 it looks good though, it doesn't break much, it's shiny, and I've done it this way all my life. If I wash it more than that, it dries out and breaks a lot.
A year ago you cut 20 inches of that beautiful hair ... I guess it has grew more while this year ... maybe are you going to cut it again soon ? I would like to cut such hair and especially to buy such locks of hair. Tell me if you would sell it the next time please
Actually I just cut it on the 17th of March of this year, 2008. It was about 43 inches, or down to my knees in back, and that is when I finally cut it. I am donating it to Locks of Love this time. Maybe next time I will sell it, who knows! How long do you like it to be?
Four years ago, I made a deal with myself to not cut it until I got down below 200 pounds; I was 266 at the time, down from 294 pounds. I wanted a goal to get me there. Now I'm around 197 or so! :) Plus I was REALLY getting tired of sitting on it, as well as others!
Hooray for you! The boy on the floor seems to disagree. LOL. I know the men in my life prefer my hair long, but I am about to donate some locks myself.
Congratulations on dropping those pounds. Your family must be as proud of your achievement as you are :-)
Whether you sell it, donate to a charity, congratulations on being able to grow such lengthy hair. Personally, I think it looks amazing when people who can grow it uber-long, actually do, but it's your business and your family's :o))
At least you were smiling in this video :-)) and seemed ready for the big chop :)
Ill half to grow my hair for another couple of years for my hair to be that long-.- damn

All you needed is just 2 inches of trimming. Sorry for such beautiful hair loss...
valtuber 1 year ago
@valtuber I couldn't stand it being so long anymore, it was starting to interfere with my cleanliness!
naturekeene7 1 year ago
@Iftikhar1312 in order to grow long hair you have to get it trimmed. if you hair is unhealthy, its worthless.
hilarious441 1 year ago
@Iftikhar1312 Just don't cut it, simple as that. No trimming, and scroll down below for more tips.
