heres a real arguement: when gohan killed cell with the more powerful kahmehameha blast, how did gohan end up in the air after the smoke clear? and right before you see the blast kill cell, you see gohan walking, but then hes in the air!! figure that one out!

goku was standing up in the ring when he gave up to cell after cell did that big purple shield thing and he was supersayian 1 on the verge of 2 not 3 and there were no outs in the cell games cell did get a senzu bean though and they did fight on the ground

Here's what happened; Cell had his stupid 'arena' that they found "on the ground" for a while. Eventually they end up in the air, Cell destroys the arena. After that, it doesn't matter if they touch the ground or not anymore. That "rule" was eliminated by then. Goku however is touching the ground when he GIVES UP. He isn't disqualified, he quit/gave up. Cell tells him he 'can't' or he'll destroy the Earth which is when Gohan fights next.

the ring was destroyed and the rules was no longer in play so they did fight a little more and after the fight goku said that he is giveing up and because he can't win and gives cell a zenzubean and told cell that gohan is his next opponant and picilo said goku he is your son and he is not a fighter like you goku.

Cell blew up the ring because he was tired of abiding by the rules of the game. The only new rule was kill him or he'll destroy the world. So it doesn't really matter if they touched the ground after that since the rules didn't apply anymore. Then he gave up since he knew he couldn't beat Cell, but he knew Gohan could.

Just to make this clear. Whether Goku was technically out after the ring was blown up doesn't matter. The two of them still fought for several episodes afterward, so obviously until Goku said he gave up, neither Cell nor Goku saw the latter as out.
