I got to see this happen today...it was raining, and for some reason, they launched an empty train, and it rollbacked.

I'd love to see it get stuck up on the top. It'd be an amazing view...I think it's happened only three times so far.

BlackMDragon97: This is called a rollback. It is when the train (for a number of reasons) did not have enough power to make it over the top hat. This is fairly common, so after the train came to a complete stop the ride was re-sent.

I actually was on it one day when it rolled back 2 times in a row and I had the front seat! Amazing! 125MPH Launch-rollback 123 MPH LAUNCH-almost stuck, rollback, 123MPH-Cleared.

I've rolled back twice on TTD and once on KK. TTD is more compact and crowded because the queue goes inside the circle.

I would definitely be so freaked out if that happen but just like they said below they do a good job to do the braking thing just in case. When I was there it happened a few times after it rained. I may have been freaked out if it was me but it would be pretty cool!

Haha, when I went in the summer of '05, we had two rollbacks in a row. It barely made it over on the third time.

Rollbacks are not dangerous in anyway,infact they are designed for this incase something like this happens.When a train launches, the brake fins pop back up, and are a failsafe device to make the train stop safely should it rollback,they then simply get it back into launch position and try again,also trains behind the one launching will not move into launch position until the train in front clears the top hat(All done by computer and sensors around the track)

I saw a rollback last July.

It had been closed all day, then they started testing when we were right there (lucky us, I know). One of the ops got on and rolled back. It takes forever to get back to the launch strip after one of those.
