  • sarah palins mother

  • OMGGGG LOLOL: "HEYYY GIRLLL, DID YOU KNOW..."

  • Wasnt it that Lincoln allowed slavery to some degree since he needed to get on the good side of the voters in the south?

  • WHAT WE NEED IS JUST THE TRUTH!

NO WE DON'T NEED MORE REDRIC.

    WHAT A DUMB WOMAN.

  • "I WILL NOT YIELD!"

haha just your average, every-day badass.

  • So lemme see if I got this... the GOP passed Civil Rights, while LIBERALS didn't help? oh my god...

...conservatives should never mention Civil Rights. they can't mention it truthfully without showing themselves as bigots and if they lie they just look 100% foolish to an epic degree

  • This woman had to have been dropped on her head too many times as a child. fuck...

  • she's a idiot.

  • Republicans are idiots.

  • This is why conservatives, neo cons, republicans should never bring up civil rights or blacks. They cant do it without making themselves look foolish, clueless, uninformed, or bigoted. This woman is not intelligent enough to speak on such issues and is to clueless to speak on such an issue.

  • damn at this point attempting an assassination on a lawmaker creates progress.

  • @LordKaisen couldn't hurt, fuck

  • She's betting that nobody was listening.

  • I should say that two major events destroyed America: Barry Goldwater losing the 1964 election to LBJ and the Immigration Act of 1965 (put into law by LBJ).

  • @DJFG85 Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this women is lying so much only the very religious or stupid (same thing) would believe her

  • Liberals and Conservatives must get united and understand. Both sides are being taken and used as fools by both parties.

  • GOP is the leader of enviromental prot. acts? Cheney was responsible for managing the deregulation of saftey requirements & protocols & inspections of oil rigs, drilling off-shore. He is the one that removed the requirement of the 500k blowout preventer, even though ALL of the other countries REQUIRE THIS. I am seriously disgusted at what republicans are doing and saying. Your all sell-outs, you do Private Corporations bidding and not the ones who voted you in, thats why I am an independent now

  • Also, WHY IN THE HELL are you going to try to use the Civil Rights Act as a reference to how much better it makes you. That was 1960, you figure average age of congressman is thity, then that means ONLY a 80 year old congressman could float this, the rest WERE NOT IN OFFICE AND DIDNT CONTRIBUTE A FUKING THING! No one gives a shit about inconsequental crap like that because we want to know WTF are you going to do for us NOW, RIGHT FUKING NOW.

  • First off, Democrats did not have complete control, so they couldnt do whatever the hell they wanted, because whenever anything is proposed, they throw tantrums and use 'filibustering'. They hold this as long as they can, making Democrats focus more energy and time than it should take to get a bill voted on. All because the more stuff they prevent Democrats from getting done, the better for them for re-election, plus they will never forgive themeselves is a black man fixes their f'ups.

  • @shadowwbn yeah, republicans are like little kids who cry because they cant have what they want, i cant wait till their bitch asses get kicked off of the senate

  • ARE YOU FUKING KIDDING ME!! THIS STUPID BITCH IS A CONGRESSWOMAN?? You keep hearing people talk about Bush admin is to blame? NO SHIT, its because he is the source of arseraping our economy, along with everyone else. When someone spends 8 YEARS screwing up virtually EVERYTHING, it doesnt matter who you are, your not going to be able to undo it in a year, or 2 years, not even 3 years! But its okay, we all know that they are simply tired of being reminded that they are the ones bending us over

  • @shadowwbn WRONG...the current downfall of the economy has been traced back directly to Bill Clinton and the Community Reinvestment Act of 1993 - Clinton's "NINJA Plan" - No income, just approve. But don't take my word for it...go ask anyone who works in the banking industry. They couldn't give a shit, so they'll tell you the precise history of how all this Fannie, Freddie bullshit happened and destroyed the housing/mortgage industry, thus destroying the economy. Everything affiliates to it.

  • @guyfroml jimmy carter started the program and clinton put it on steroids , the bottom fell out during bush so it is his fault >>>>> perfect !!!!!

  • @guyfroml smarten up troll, it was bush who did this

  • Declaration of indipendance isnt worth the hemp its written on

  • Wow, Michelle Bachmann has got a serious contender! LOL

  • you want to know what i think is crazy? she got voted in! thats the scary part!

  • Theres only one think I can think of watching this video...

    BITCH GOT OWNED!

  • Distortion, lies and fear is the only coin the gop carries.

  • how can the people of NC elect such a worthless bitch ? lies lies lies

  • Your so full of shit that it coming out of your mouth-all over the place.

Any politician who would vote FOR integration is a complete disgrace

Civil Rights is the reason for all of America's never ending racial brawl

When segregation was the law, life was far better for one and all

FORCED integration is the worst failed social science mistake ever made

When the Civil Rights laws were written in- the entire nation was betrayed

  • @TheHauptsturmfuhrer Are you insane, almost in all aspects of life in time of segregation, African Americans had a worse life than whites. Yes integration was forced but it was necessary to be any sense of equality into this country. Your so called "never ending racial brawl" is a huge exaggeration on the race problem in this country. Compare the number of hate crimes back then and now, no politician in the U.S today would claim that the civil rights law was a bad idea. Ur a idiot or bigot.

  • @newgarda

    wrong-here's the real facts:

    Newnation

  • @TheHauptsturmfuhrer whats that?

  • @TheHauptsturmfuhrer i dont know whether your high or insane but either way, your a troll or a bigot, or a idiot

  • I should say that two major events destroyed America: Barry Goldwater losing the 1964 election to LBJ and the Immigration Act of 1965 (put into law by LBJ).

  • @DJFG85 or George.W.Bush being elected into office and republicans gaining control of the senate

  • Its fun to watch true believers in our duopoly argue about which one is more virtuous. They dont understand that there is almost zero difference between the 2 parties, its all window dressing that they fight about. Sad.

  • Wow, this is filled with LIES! Lincoln was NOT a liberal. The republicans voted in larger percentages for both civil rights and women's suffrage. Eisenhower, a Republican initiated the Civil Rights act of 1964. This is a distortion people, read your history!

  • Yes, but there has been a shift in what Republican and Democrat means within the last 50 years. That came to me from a republican history professor.

  • @1011myname: Well, your history professor needs to go back and read what "Classic Liberalism" was. It was more along the lines of Libertarianism is today, which is closer aligned to what the conservative values of today's Republican party are than what the Democratic party is now, which is more of an American Liberalism, and a Social Liberalism. They are very different, and I have studied them at length. I know what I am talking about, I hold degrees in Political Science and Political History.

  • lincoln was definitely libebral as were the republicans of the time. dude just go to wiki republican party lol seriously, do you know what party teddy roosevelt was in? He was definetly liberal!

  • I have to respectfully disagree, this is not full of lies. You are 100% right that Republicans were more for women's suffrage, because prior to FDR, the Republican party was the liberal reformist party. There is an almost complete consensus amongst American historians that back up what Cenk said. Eisenhower actually initiated the Civil Rights Act of 1957. But he left office in '61 and the Act of '64 was actually first proposed by JFK. Both presidents were motivated by politics though, not morals

  • @ferrisphotography

Well we can debate who was what, although I never called Eisenhower a liberal, I was simply responding to your contention that he initiated the CRA of '64. But I do take issue with your insinuation that I get my history from Wikipedia, because I in fact have master's degrees in both American and European history. So the point is we can disagree with the interpretation of what we read, but you do not need to accuse me of not forming my ideas based on scholarly material.

  • @ferrisphotography

And yes, Classical Liberalism is not the same thing as modern liberalism, but I would argue that the Republican Party of the late 19th and early 20th centuries were not based in Classical Liberalism. You obviously disagree, and that's your right. But don't accuse me of getting my opinions from a website.

  • @ferrisphoto

Eisenhower initiated the Civil Rights act of '64? And you're telling people to read history? What a joke!

  • Ever notice how conservatives have a habit of calling historical facts that do not meet their ideology "revisionist history"?

  • Who votes people like this in to office? Do you hate your local community?

  • 6:19

He's right about Kem Mehlman apologizing for the Southern Strategy.

He should also mention that Rush Limbaugh ripped Mehlman a new one for doing that, saying "once again, Republicans are going to go bend over and grab the ankles" for Mehlman apologizing to what Rush called the "NAALCP" (The L is for "liberal")

Classy move, as usual, Rush. Yeah, how dare the Republicans apologize for racist politics. (rolls eyes)

  • Enjoy the South Republicans. You know why no one vacations in Alabama? Because its a shit hole.

  • Im from NC and I am sorry for people like virginia fox i dont know what her poll numbers are but there is no place for people like her in government.I am sure she is a nice old lady just like my grandma.I am not attacking her personally. But she gets her knowledge from cable news and doesent know wtf she is talking about so she makes shit up.Still to this day you cant tell my grandma that suddam Hussein was NOT responsible 4 911.she cant say how she knows but she knows its a fact.

  • Hear ya, bro. It's a damn shame people like her represent NC (or any other state, for that matter.)

  • People... It isn't that she said it, she knows it's a lie.

The problem is, can she make her constituency believe it.

  • ROFLMBAO! Did she just say the GOP PASSED the Civil Rights act with no help from across the isle? OH MY GOD! Epic fail.

  • @kwatson813 While I completely agree with you, I have seen this "ROFLMBAO" thing before, but I have no idea what it means. Seriously, what is it? Could someone tell me? I know what LOL, BRB, and BTW, mean, but this I can't figure out for the life of me.

    -Joe E Dangerously

  • @xJoeEDangerouslyx

ROTFLMBAO: Rolling On The Floor Laughing My _____ A** Off. The B can stand for several different things, Black, Bony, Big, etc. This is also used as ROTFLMFBAO, which is the above with either Fat or F**king taking the F position.

  • 7:40 Oh god I wanna see those ads so bad. "Hey girrrrrlllll!" Haha

  • Man, the guy almost cried.

Hopefully he hasnt taken lessons from Becks.

  • Oh yeah, she's a real class act. This crap is spouting from the woman who lied about a gay man being murdered in order to stop a hate crime bill from passing... all while his mother sat watching in the audience.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, when the democratic party was conservative

  • HOLY SHIT.....I would love to hear that ad!! But Cenk is right! The Black Republicans always push for that.....like they're tricking their own!! lol

  • Owned and epic fail!

  • Ignorant old lady.

  • great job Cenk!..

  • Cardoza was so eloquent and passionate. Great to see him call her out.

  • Who votes for these morons I mean GOP they should rest in peace

  • @undeadnow People who are even bigger morons elect these idiots.

  • virginia foxx is a product of inbreeding, notice the crossed eyes and protruding forehead.

seriously, does anyone believe conservatives touting their liberal heritage? republicans consistently vote against civil rights bills, but claim to be the proprietors of civil rights?

this woman is the product of inbreeding.

  • i would love to euthanize foxx...it would give me great pleasure

  • They're actually correct on Helms opposing civil rights. It's true he wasn't yet a senator at that point, he called the 1964 Civil Rights Act "the single most dangerous piece of legislation ever introduced in the Congress".

He also migrated from the Democrats to the Republicans, as Strom Thurmond did (albeit before joining the senate).

  • It's like she has a lying fetish. She doesn't even try to tell lies that are somewhat believable (like the lie that our founding fathers were religious. Wrong, but at least it took place over 200 years ago and is out of everyone's memory).

The Civil Rights Act, though, happened in recent memory. You can't lie about that shit yet, granny Foxx. This needs to be an indication that absolutely nothing she says can be trusted.

  • With respect, she needs to go some where and sit her old ass down!

  • AW snap. All I can see is that the good ol boy mentality is living strong an well in the G.O.MUTHA.FUCKIN.P

  • And it'll be with them all the way to complete obscurity in 2012.

  • Foxx is getting as bad as Bachman. For serious.

  • She got checked. Well done.

  • It's strange that political conservatives are not environmentally conservative.

  • witty

  • Virginia Foxx got owned!

  • She sounds like she's been sniffin' Michelle Bachman's panties.

  • That is a crude and distasteful comment. Having said that, you hit the nail on the head. Thumbs up.

  • The original House version: Southern Democrats: 7-87 (7%-93%) Southern Republicans: 0-10 (0%-100%) Northern Democrats: 145-9 (94%-6%) Northern Republicans: 138-24 (85%-15%) The Senate version: Southern Democrats: 1-20 (5%-95%) Southern Republicans: 0-1 (0%-100%) Northern Democrats: 45-1 (98%-2%) Northern Republicans: 27-5 (84%-16% It's clear that by percentage there was more Democratic support then Republican and the defining factor was geographical.
  • Thank you soooo much for this post!

  • i hear this line of crap about "republican leadership on civil rights" constantly.

even the resonably intelligent wingnuts buy it. the democratic party in the south died the day that legislation was passed. the southern democrats tried to kill it, and when they failed they shifted party affiliation to the republicans or were voted out, to be replaced by a racist. period.

    it aint rocket science.

  • she's doing this because most americans, particularly in her state, have no clue of what the facts involved are so they will believe her and be even more delusional and convoluted as they already are, which is simply vile and disgraceful. what a detestable primate

  • Agreed, Nixon was probably the last true Republican before the Neocons took over.

  • Ahhh! Got it!

    A. When the Republican party voted for good legislation it's because "back then the parties were, to some degree, reversed."

    B. Democrats may make sweeping generalizations ("people like Jessie Helms") but Republicans may not.

    C. Jessie Helms is dead. He's not going to object to anything.

  • OMG Can this guy twist history.

Do a little research! Dems were the originators of the KKK. The Reps DID free the slaves, THEY DID get the vote for slaves but then he wants to say Reps MOVED AWAY form it by not supporting enviro laws meant to RIP OFF the American people on a GLOBAL SCAM by AL GORE?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? They were not "SOME DEGREE" reversed, THEY WERE reversed, but the ideals were still the ideals! CONSERVATIVES FREED THE SLAVES ! This is all easy to find people!

  • Giddymoon

You are completely WRONG! Where do you get your history from? You state as a matter of fact, that the Republicans Freed the Slaves & that the Democrats started the KKK. However you base your assumption on party labels rather than on political ideology. It is a clear & proven fact that the KKK is and from it's inception has always been an organization drenched in FAR-RIGHT ideology. Just so you understand the actual facts the KKK was formed in Tennessee (1865) by

  • Giddymoon

veterans of the Confederate Army, yeah they were Democrats, but what is important to note is that they were CONSERVATIVE in their beliefs. They formed in an attempt to resist Reconstruction & their purpose was to restore white supremacy in the aftermath of the American Civil War. I have no idea how you got the notion that LINCOLN was a Conservative Republican (his record clearly contradicts that belief).

  • Giddymoon

The Conservative Southern Strategy overrides their party label. If you don't understand this let's look at the 1964 Passage of the Civil Rights Bill & put an end to Viginia Foxx's statement! The voting record is extremely clear! Here is an exact breakdown of the VOTES: 1st the overall totals:

  • Giddymoon

    Totals are in "Yea-Nay" format:

The original House version: 290-130 (69%-31%)

Cloture in the Senate: 71-29 (71%-29%)

    The Senate version: 73-27 (73%-27%)

The Senate version, as voted on by the House: 289-126 (70%-30%)

From this there is no way to tell who actually lead the vote. So let's break it down by party:

  • Notes continued to Giddymoon The original House version: Democratic Party: 152-96 (61%-39%) Republican Party: 138-34 (80%-20%) Cloture in the Senate: Democratic Party: 44-23 (66%-34%) Republican Party: 27-6 (82%-18%) The Senate version: Democratic Party: 46-21 (69%-31%) Republican Party: 27-6 (82%-18%) The Senate version, voted on by the House: Democratic Party: 153-91 (63%-37%) Republican Party: 136-35 (80%-20%)
  • Giddymoon

At this point it would still be difficult to tell where the opposition came from, & this is the point usually where Conservatives like to end the research & spin history in their favor. But the truth is crystal clear once we separate the votes based on Southern vs. Northern:

("Southern", refers to members of Congress from the eleven states that made up the Confederate States of America in the American Civil War. "Northern" refers to members from the other 39 states,

  • Giddymoon regardless of the geographic location of those states.) The original House version: Southern Democrats: 7-87 (7%-93%) Southern Republicans: 0-10 (0%-100%) Northern Democrats: 145-9 (94%-6%) Northern Republicans: 138-24 (85%-15%) The Senate version: Southern Democrats: 1-20 (5%-95%) (only Senator Ralph Yarborough of Texas voted in favor) Southern Republicans: 0-1 (0%-100%) (this was Senator John Tower of Texas) Northern Democrats: 45-1 (98%-2%) (only Senator
  • Giddymoon

Robert Byrd of West Virginia opposed the measure)

Northern Republicans: 27-5 (84%-16%) (Senators Barry Goldwater of Arizona, Bourke Hickenlooper of Iowa, Edwin L. Mechem of New Mexico, Milward L. Simpson of Wyoming, and Norris H. Cotton of New Hampshire opposed the measure)

As you can see the common thread throughout the voting is that nearly all of the opposition to Civil Rights came from Conservative minded Politicians. This is the reason why many have said

  • Giddymoon

"The Democrats won Civil Rights & The Republicans won the South". This pattern is apparent in many episodes of our history, from Lincoln freeing the SLAVES to the NEW DEAL & even to HEALTHCARE today. The major decisions in our nation have always been influenced by the ratio of Conservatives vs Liberals, not Republicans vs Democrats.

Now you can continue to deny the facts & continue to listen to BECK, HANNITY, LIMBAUGH, PALIN & the rest of the NEO-CONS but don't mis-represent the facts

  • Giddymoon

You obviously believe the spin they tell you without doing the research yourself. Conservatives love to hide behind Lincoln & take credit for what he did, but don't be NAIVE if Lincoln was alive today he would be considered a RHINO, & the same people who oppose OBAMA today would be oppossed to Lincoln. The TEA- PARTY movement is no different than the movement 145 years ago that gave birth to the KKK.

  • Giddymoon

If you went back to 1865 you could bring your signs that read "I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK" & you would fit right in ... Far-Right Conservatives exploit Americans thru Fear & Conspiracy Theories & it sounds like you have definately been exploited!

  • How many of the Republicans who freed the slaves are alive today? ZERO.

The ones who did this were known as Progressives. Between the 1860s and 1912, the Progressives were a major force in the Republican party. Many Progressives left the Party in 1912 with the Bull Moose campaign by Teddy Roosevelt, and these joined the Democrats by 1932 when Franklin Roosevelt became President. And the Southern Stragtegy saw most racists in the Democrat party switching Republican.

  • Regardless of your other claims, this is about Republicans claiming they supported the civil rights act when they were the opposition. Can't get around that. Foxx lied, plain and simple.

  • Yeah. Right. And where do Republicans stand on gay rights and gay marriage again?

  • Believe it or not, there are some native liberals in NC.

We had Jesse Helms and that rabid Foxx, yet 22 of the last 24 governers have been democrats.

And we went blue in the last election (but just barely)

  • Yeah, if she were a Young Turk, I'd give her a pass for trying, but she's grandma, and that old bird was in her prime during the 60's and 70's. She owns that time and shouldn't be putting on rosy glasses. The only rose she should talk about is the one not sitting in the back of the bus no more. It took a lot more democrats on the ground to get change than the republicans in congress.

  • I wish Lincoln knew then how his party would turn out in another few decades, if I could go back in time and tell him how Conservative and hypocritical his party became, I wonder what would happen.

  • Would probably shoot himself before JWB did.

  • he would change his party and the republicans today would just find another person to use as their shining example of greatness.

  • how about you north carolina haters shut the fuck up. i'm sure there are just as many dumbasses where you live. we have some of the best universities in the south and slowly growing blue as time goes by. republicans at any place are retarded, and foxx embarrasses me to no end. i've hoped for her to go away or die in the most hilariously ironic way, yet my wish hasn't come to fruition. to say virginia foxx speaks for all north carolinians is like saying bush speaks for all americans.

  • You really have to work hard to get rid of these embarrassments. Keep up the good work.

Remember, North Carolina turned Blue in 2008. There are many sane people there, and it is time for people like you to take back the South from the nutjobs.

  • i'm only one person and i do my best to vote for who i think can do the state justice. i try to be vocal and in doing so infect fact and reality into fellow NCers, but this obviously won't do enough to change politics on a wide scale. it's up for the politician we vote for or media to turn the tides. us liberals in NC are abundant, it's just hard to find a good politician to support- think about the fiasco we just had with john edwards which weakened our party even more, but libs are here.

  • Democrats in the House should from now on address Virgina Foxx as: Rep. Mitch McConnell-In-Drag from North Carolina.

  • The troops are still in Iraq and Afghanistan, we have a 10.1% unemployment, a $12 trillion debt, and Obama's minions Geithner and Summers are giving away the country to international bankers yet Cenk is bitching about some old lady in NC? Reality check a-hole.

  • Your logic is awful.

So as long as theres a bigger problem, people aren't allowed to criticize advocates of smaller problems?

By that logic, because the sun will eventually engulf the earth, we should just ignore all murder, corruption, rape, etc and just focus on trying to stop the sun from dying....

Seriously, foxx is a senator who is LYING to advance her short term politics. Cenk is someone who wants to stop this nonsense.

If you care, make your own show about Obama.

  • why is everyone from the carolinas a fucking retard?

  • Colbert is the exception

  • oh is Steven Colbert from the carolinas?! hahahaha I love him so much.. he is the exception to the rule for sure

  • hey. i'mn nott a fcknig retarqd.

we prefer "severely mentally handicapped", by the way.

  • two plus two is chicken!

  • who cares about party loyalties with all of the complex historical trends and good or bad on either side of the aisle. i would rather just consider the issues and what was/is worthwhile in deciding on how to vote on inidividual candidates and individual issues

  • Not to be blunt, buuttt..virginia foxx is a Cunt.

  • I was curious about Foxx, so I checked her out in wiki.

Apparently she was one of the eleven members of congress who voted against giving aid to the victims of Katrina.

She also claimed that the murder of Mathew Sheppard was not a hate crime. She said it was a "very unfortunate incident." and "we know that young man was killed during the commitment of a robbery. It wasn't because he was gay."

Not to be unkind, but...her picture in wiki makes her look cross eyed.

    What a silly cow.

  • Virginia Foxx is GOOONE in the mind! Waaay out there!

  • Republicans have NO honor...they don't even know what the word means

  • The conservative racists Democrats switched to the Republican party ie. Strom Thurmond

  • the fuck is she talking about?

  • The largest tax increase, in all American history, was during the Eisenhower administration at 91% for those having the largest incomes annually.

    His was a republican presidency.

Think about this: If tax rates at the top were 91% today, hedge fund managers would STILL be bringing in over $300 million EACH YEAR - but the rest of you would be able to get health care, fix the roads, good schools, and the other benefits.

  • reason 1,258,021 that i'm soooooooooo glad to be Canadian!

  • true that

  • i think she was jealous that michele bachmann was getting all the crazy attention in the house so she turned up the senile.

  • Look at it from a minorities point of view. It isn't about giving advantages, it's about letting someone get their foot in the door. It is plain from your language that you are a bigot so why not just move somewhere where only white people live then you can be happy.

  • dumb ass

  • Actually, because of the disadvantaged socological origins of colored people, those who have the qualifications in question would have had to overcome more to attain them, and therefore has demonstrated a greater ability than somebody of a higher socioeconomic level, and therefore a higher level of competence.

In other words, they have achieved more to earn their qualification.

  • "aFFIRMATIVE ACTION WAS JUST FOR THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR WHINING COMPLAINING COLORED PEOPLE."

That's funny, from what I see, it's whitey that does most of the whining.

  • I was thinking the EXACT same thing.

Even her stiff head movements resemble a pigeon.

  • North Carolina: 1st in flight, and 50th in education

  • OMGF that's a awesome Family Guy quote, and it's so true. My friend and I took a trip there once (we're from Illinois) and stopped at a gas station. I was having trouble getting my debit card to work a the pump and the attendant came out to help me. As he came over he lit up a cigarette and proceeded to pump my gas with his cig hanging out of his mouth. I was so shocked, I could just stand there speechless. It seriously felt like we were in a foreign country.

  • Also, for some time during his terms, Nixon had an accommodation with the liberals.

  • 1) ironically she represents SALEM and is going on a WITCH HUNT.

Just thought i should point that out.

    2) Thank Gods the democrats are taking the Alan Grayson stance and saying "NO I WILL NOT YIELD!"

  • My favorite part is when she accuses democrats of 'revisionist history' right before she revises history....

I'm 90% certain that the real republican strategy is to accuse democrats of what republicans are doing, that way democrats are too scared to call out the republicans on their bullshit.

    For example, during the elections

reps "youre playing the race card!!!"

dems "wtf.... YOU just played the race card!!!"

reps "SEE? Why are they so scared of people knowing that they play the race card!!"

  • It is called "projection"

    The reasoning is simple.

The reasoning is, because THEY think a certain way, then EVERYBODY thinks in this way.

So if you are a racist, you believe EVERYBODY is racist.

If you hate the opposition, the opposition must hate YOU.

If you lie and cheat and steal, then the Opposition must be lying, cheating thieves as well.

THAT is why Republicans are always accusing the Democrats and the Democrats are always giving Republicans the benefit of the doubt.

  • What these ignorant republicans don't know is that party alignment hasn't been constant since the dawn of time. After civil rights legislation passed, many southern democrats (Dixiecrats) switched sides to the republicans and for a good reason too. They were against civil right pure and simple. They were racists and their legacy still lives throughout the south.

  • It's a matter of historical fact that the conservative Dixiecrats transferred their party affiliation to the GOP in response to the Great Society and civil rights laws. That's what the southern GOP is all about nowadays.

  • Are the gop actually trying to make things worse?

  • If you check the congressional record you will see that MORE Democrats voted for the Civil Rights legislation and Voting Rights Legislation than did republicans at the time. It is in record people like this she witch from NC need to just put their White Robes on an start the Klan Parade they really would like to have . She is a Phony

  • The Molalla River IS wild and scenic. I'll give her a leaking inner tube to float on and see how far she gets.

  • Not surprising in the slightest that the con-servatives like to con people into thinking they are on the peoples side when the record shows otherwise. Love war, against scientific fact and advancement, no regulation for corruption, increase the wage gap so the working class become more like serfs, demonize anything remotely considered liberal, fair or equal. The cons have conned people out of quality of life preferring that only the rich have a good one.

  • Certainly the Southern Democrats were racist back in the day. But they were also conservative. Thats why people like Strom Thurmond of South Carolina and many other conservative Democrats became Republicans when the Northern liberals took over the Democratic Party. Thats why now the Democrats are nowadays the party of the people!

  • No people like Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, Huey P. Newton & the Black Panther Party, and the white folks who helped black people put the bill through. Your devil ass did nothing. I wonder if she was being beaten down in the street demanding equal rights, I wonder how long she spent in prison. She probably sat there saying "Why won't these niggers quit complaining".

  • lol @ reverse racism. the prolific stance of offering privileges indiscriminately to minority groups and discriminately denying them to equally deserving individuals in a majority isn't reverse racism. it's just racism.

a great man once had a dream that his children would be judged 'not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.' nevertheless, affirmative action ensures that this dream does not become a reality

  • I don't necessarily disagree with you, though I definitely am not in complete agreement. It's just the old formal equality vs. equality of opportunity debate. In assuring equality of opportunity for black people, some white people are going to get burned. Fair? No definitely not, but neither is the alternative or black people having to wait around until some racist organization or employers decide to give them jobs. It's crappy all around, so choose your evil.

  • Why are these Congressman doing these things mostly from Southern States...(just sayin)

  • Because everyone down here is f'n insane! Please get me outta here!

  • I was listening to Religious right wing talk radio and the man talking, who said he was a Pastor, said the exact same thing. Calling Democrats liars and con-artist for spreading the myth that they passed civil rights,

Couldn't believe it, this woman must be a true believer.

  • JFK couldn't get anything accomplished during his term because even though the Democrats controlled the House and Senate, the real power was controlled by the Southern Democrats who opposed all of Kennedy's civil rights measures, and everything else besides. it took Kennedy's death to get the 1964 cvil rights act passed by the persuasive powers of Lyndon Johnson. Im not so sure it was a good thing because today we have Affirmative Action that institutes Reverse Discrimination and that is wrong!

  • "reverse discrimination"? There is NO such thing.

  • Reverse discrimination is just trying to play the victim. While affirmative action helped bring power and opened doors to the real victims. Though statistical figures in income and poverty rates are still far from reaching a equilibrium. Affirmative action as well as desegregation has helped America become a more open society.

  • NO I WILL NOT YIELD!

  • why you grabbin her???

    why you grabbin her???

    LOL

  • You don't know history.

  • I cant tell if your being sarcastic or what? ARE YOU SERIOUSLY THAT IGNORANT? The democrats were part of the KKK? WHAT ARE YOU ON? ITS WELL KNOWN THAT THE KKK WERE MADE UP OF RACIST REPUBLICANS ! WHAT IS THE KKK MADE UP OF NOW? SAME SHIT! GO READ SOME HISTORY BOOKS!

  • The Democrats were supporters of slavery in the South.

  • To be fair to the raging idiot called

tehant1liberal, the most Democrats in the South (and some in the North) were part of the KKK and supported segregation.

When Harry Truman said the Democratic party should support civil rights in 1948, the Southern Dem's, most notable, Strom Thurmond split from the party.

  • That's true but the Southern Democrats were states' rights conservatives. They went Republican between 1964-1968 after the progressive Northern Democrats signed the CRA. Accusing the Klan of being liberal Democrats is ridiculous. Liberals support civil rights, equal rights, womens' rights, gay rights, federalism social programs and are generally anti-war. The Klan is opposed to all of those positions.

  • Well said. To think republicans consider themselves civil rights pioneers. LOL. Talk about starting from a preconceived notion then working backwards.

  • The senior member of Senate (Byrd) was in the Klan.

  • @tehant1liberal actually he did it as a punishment to the south's secession. He NEVER wanted to end slavery because he knew it would lead the secession, but it did anyway

  • You're hilariously wrong. To free the slaves is an inherently liberal policy. Anything that radical is liberal, by definition. Conservatism, by definition, is a preservation of tradition and status quo, or did you already know that and are being facetious? Those who are racist are conservative, because they want things to either stay the way they are, or to go back to the way things used to be. Liberals, however, always fight for change, or "progress."
