Hi, Just in case you haven't gotten the answer to this. It's on a cd called Red, White and Blues from the Martin Scorsese film tv series about the blues. It has lots of other great cuts on it too.
Jeff Beck and Tom Jones seem such an odd pairing yet the song is magnificent! My brother's band did a rendition of it tonight in Coney Island, Brooklyn, and I'd never heard it before. Are the subtitles in Catalan?
Puede contestarme alguien -- los subtitulos estan en catalan a que si?
Actually a bit more on this video :) Great song :) I've seen Tom Jones a few times in my short time on this earth and always been impressed by the man. Saw Jeff Beck about three months ago and well kinda disappointed :'( Guess after all the videos and cd's I've heard from the guy, seeing him actually live was a bit of a let-down,not really sure why but he didn't seem to actually enjoy playing that night perhaps :(
Assrude, do you think all television shows throughout the world are in English? Let me guess... you're from the U.S., you don't have a passport, and you think a journey is going to the 7-11. Am I close? :)
I've used up three passports in my brilliant career. But lucky for you I haven't visited the USA yet. As for 7-11 isn't that an el cheapo convenience store for people like you who can't make up thier mind about what they want to buy :)
Mmm well it wasn't really required learning when I was going to school and so the only time I've heard it mentioned was in some obscure 50's Rock n Roll music. Still if that's what you like doing more power to you :) We may have them here in Australia under another name ? Don't really know or care. Not that important to me. I just like music without subtitles and riding my motorcycle. I definitely have to come over there for the Sturgis Run one year before I get too old and creaky :) mate
is french....try to be a little les disrespectable nex time. -now i'll write in spanish the same things, so you see the difference- no es español pelotudo!!!!! es frances...trata de ser menos irrespetuoso la proxima vez.
The voice is most often the hardest thing to maintain of all 'instruments' over years of performing. To hear TJ sing like this is stunning. Holy shit is more like it, lol.
I've always heard that Tom lives pretty clean, that could be the biggest reason why his voice remains so powerful. I watch this video and I ask myself--what would I like more, to sing like Tom or play like Jeff?
You're right, it is indeed Catalan. To expand on that for anyone interested, Catalonia is an autonomous community (province) of Spain and has it's own language).

Tom Jones did a blues album with Jools Holland that's pretty good BUT it wasn't released in the States.

This guitar solo is the definition of 'in the pocket'. I think Jeff Beck might have too much taste!

Wasn't my idea, it was the tv channel's. And it isn't Spanish, it's Catalan.

Thanks for that "jemf999" I've actually got this tune on that series about "The Blues" that was put together by Martin Scorsese awhile back.
One of me favorites from the series :):)

Listen to Engelbert Humperdincks version of this song "Love Letters Straigt From Your Heart" He has much more feelings in his voice.
He is the King of Romance!!!!

Elvis' version has a lot of subtlety but I love the way Tom and Jeff work together!
