Whoever says this movie isn't the same as Poe has no imagination or creativity. This very much follows Edgar Allen Poe's "Tell Tale Heart". It is a dynamic retelling of the classic story, following the same theme, and with just as tragic a story. However it is more dynamic and set in a modern era. This is now in my list of favorite movies. A beautiful retelling with the same feel. It is awesome how they wrote an entirely new story that is entirely the same. Wonderfully made, brilliantly written.

the orginal story was written by edgar allen poe and the way it goes is the main character kills his neighbour bcuz he didnt like "his evil eye" but he loved him, the neighbor didnt do anything 2 him. after he stuffs him under the floor then the police goes 2 the nieghbours house bcuz some1 heard some loud thumping noise and as the police r in the same room as the killer , he can literally hear the suspense of the heart beating bcuz he feels the guilt . then he bursts out showing the body .....

@hellenicadrasteia it kinda does, his story is about a man who murders someone, and then hears this horrible heartbeat grow louder and louder as he moves on and speaks, making him commit to his deeds. "The Tell-Tale Heart." The movie is even called Tell-Tale. It is a spin on Poe's story, but I do not think the movie did it justice. In the movie he hears the heart beating, which is kinda the core of The Tell-Tale Heart. It might not be a copy, but it has certainly ripped off some key points.
