Hi: I'm someone who has actually seen every episode of this show and both movies. My personal opinions on how CC chose to end IWTB, y'all are morons who insist that William is dead, unaccounted for or "blah blah they just got rid of him & are now living peacefully." I may remind you of the episodes where 1- Mulder left because he would've been killed by the shadow govt (making him useless as a stay-at-home-dad anyway), and the fact that in the series that poor kid was like the holy grail for al

I LOVE this scene.

It makes me sad though because I read in various places that it was added as a gift to the fans and represents David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson waiving to the fans, not Mulder & Scully.

I want to believe it was actually Mulder & Scully :)

This is a ridiculous piece of fan service and makes no sense with the characters at all. IWTB was atrocious, but I do hope they make an XF3 that ties up the series in a more satisfying way, though I feel the time for that may have passed.

I went to the X-Files premiere, and I was in line when a guy in a car asked, "Is this all for the X-Files?" Everybody's head went up to see who asked that, and it was David. Everybody got their cellphone and starting taking pictures. The premiere was awesome, but the movie was a little disappointing because we waited this long for a movie, and it had sort of a crappy ending

I'm glad that Mulder and Scully have this happy ending but... as told by Spendles, the cancer man, in 2012 the alien invasion begins. I hope that they don´t forgot that. I really want a third movie with this plot and the very end of the conspiracy.

I think it was more Mulder and Scully. Based on their final scene together where Mulder explains the "don't give up" to her, he is finally ready to leave the darkness and really be with Scully. They are leaving that cold and dark place and are now in the bright sunshine. Sort of a metaphor for where their characters are left when the film ends. So happy ending for them until hopefully we meet them again.

I loved this scene from the movie,Bill Roe did a wonderful job with the photography in this film.
