Schools teach about things like circumference and other high level math skills to teach students how to think CRITICALLY. The important thing isn't to learn about what a radius is but to learn how to solve a problem with critical thinking skills. And those are very important in the real world. Believe me, I'm about to graduate from college and I still need to know the circumference of a circle in order to get into grad school @smiddleton233

cockaroach does have a point. Half of the crap they force you to learn in highschool about math you wont need. as an adult paying bills and taxes and such ive never need to know the circumfrance of anything or about complimentary or supplimentary angles. its mostly the basics you need.

I like how she doesn't tell them specifically what to study. The test probably does focus a lot more on somethings than others, but she wants them to learn everything, not just memorize some of it that night for the test. Sure, its a lot harder that way, but as a person who wants to be a teacher very much I respect that kind of toughness.
