Hi Nuramon345, it's been a while since you played this.. Here are some comments: Nice start, focused, but a tad too slow I think. My edition has tempo marking 108 which is even that a little too slow. Actually it is more difficult musically to play it slow! At 0:20 you can benefit from lowering nuance a little. Down to mp/mf to allow for accents in this part to shine! And from 0:58 onwards I prefer it initially with less rubato, continue the march! Make surprises later on in the modulations..
masterclass in France? that sounds COOL! how did that go? i'm currently planning on taking up lessons again. do you play other major pieces? from like beethoven, or mozart, chopin?
I don´t know how you can register yourself (I knew the teacher before), but it is in Gréoux-les-Bains near Aix-en-Provence and it is called "Printemps musical". Look at the Internet.
I think you should start practicing the piece "non legato". as long as you need to get all (and i mean ALL!!) the notes into your hand, your brain and most importantly your heart. than you will probably be able to play it with more confidence. because in order to play this novelette you need confidence. you will get more cinfident, when you practice Non legato. otherwise, i really enjoyed what you made of the piece. so keep practicing it until it's really good. because YOU can play!!

I play the etude op. 25 no.11 by Chopin, a trio by beethoven op. 1 no.3, a sonata by Haydn and a prelude and fuge from Bach.

You are completely right. I was on a masterclass in France and I will soon record another version.

I've played this piece. I think that you play too much stacatto and mechanically; a faster pace would help.

Thank you.
