  • can you use a blue ray diode?

  • @TheEpicElectricsz and can i do this with a handheld laser shell with 2 AAA batteries?

  • @TheEpicElectricsz You can use 2xAA with a blu ray diode, but you have to use a different driver that supplies less current.

  • "How to make a 1000mW laser"... "You need: a 1W 445nm diode".....You don't say?!

It's like "How to make 1000ml of water. You need: 1L of water"....

  • this is a really good video but please first warning and then the tutorial ;)

  • Nice work. What would someone use this for besides burning ants? Hobbies? Projects?

  • @SDNate760 I use these for hobbies, check out my channel

  • I got a little high watching this. it's your fault.

  • officer: where did you get this

    me :youtube @PyroGadgets

    officer:we found him >.>

  • @robbysaw LOL

  • Are you the same guy as styropyro?

  • @najsbajsmedmajs thats the same i think

  • Well i've found a 4000mw 805nm±3 diode. Can I use the same steps shown in this video and make a 4000mw laser?

  • Where's my light saber?

  • do u live in norway

  • First price batterier ja..

  • can you turn a 1000W PSU from a computer into a laser? xD

  • you should have SHOWN how to do it rather than just TELLING us how do it! not enough for noobs like me to learn how to do this!

  • learn to solder dude

  • I'm kind of new to this thing. When i click the switch link. it shows 40 mW. Is it a 40 mW laser or a 1000?

  • i made one works awsome but my batteries keep exploding with the power off i dont understand...

  • how much will u chareg to make me one

  • FirstPrice LOL

  • How cheap we talking here?

  • fuck it ill buy one

  • Also, what is the piece used to connect the battery holder to the wiring?

  • Is the box you build the laser around metal? Does it have to be a specific material by any chance? Or is it just a box with thermal tape around it?

  • So if all of your goggles are at the table...

  • does it matter what kind of switch you use? any specs?

  • @Whosliam2 ofcource not.

  • Absolutely amazing tutorial. You just made my day thank you

  • Culd I use another alimentation font, like and old computer's font? Can i use a green diod?

  • Oha it work`s thx from germany

  • there cloud also bee a link in description for googles becouse i cant finf\d good goggles anywhare

  • Could someone please post a new link for the glass lense. the one he has is broken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the driver doesn't look like the one in the link

  • All i have is 5 dollars and a pack of gum:/

  • Great video. Now how about a video on how to build a 2W laser or how to build a 3W laser.

  • lol buy the complete laser its a better deal

  • Norsk eller :)

  • Clean your room!

  • what is heatsinking, does an axis module with heatsink built in work good to,like does it make it more powerful or somehing

    PLEASE HELP

  • @lilbrownify heatsinks keep electronics rom overheating, like computers for example :) hope i helped:)

  • cant i just use sunglasses instead of goggles

  • @nadendas ummmm, well unless you want your cornas blow out, ah no. because in laser glasses it has a fliter that cancles out that kind of light, so if you contact me over youtube i can help you make a like 6 dollor pair instead of a 30 doller one...

  • @nadendas no sunglasses dont block enough light

  • how do u connect it to the heatsink?

  • ok i bought the parts an they are starting to arrive in the mail... they r so small!!!! the videos make everything look big especially the diode i find the most small out of all the parts

  • wait... i just found out that i could've purchased the diode, power supply, and module and the laser would've worked without spending $150 bucks on the parts... too late :(. Can anybody tell me the difference between doing that and doing this? Thanks!

  • @gregonater834 You learn something? I did, respect this man. Christ.

  • @Fiki2k7 wtf i do respect him completely!! looks like he has a guitar in his room and i am a musician too so i completely respect him. i am still going to do what is shown in the video i just didn't know you could do it a different way. with heatsinking does it make the laser more powerful mw wise? sorry i am new on lasers

  • what nm diode should i buy to make it the MOST visible at any time of day? Im building a laser tonight so i need answers quick please respond!

  • Could I use a 2w 445nm diode instead of the 1w? would it cause any damage? would I have to do anything different?

  • @Djakkennaia There are no 2W 445nm diodes as of now. You probably mean the same one I use, it's rated for 1W, but can be pushed to 2W with very good heatsinking.

  • @PyroGadgets The 44nm diodes that come out of the A-140 projector are rated for up to 2W. those are the ones I was talking about. would it be alright if I used that one with a 2Amp driver?

  • @PyroGadgets The A140 diode from the DLP projector. with 1800mA (two flex drives) and the 405-G-1 lens it can be even more then 2W.

  • @PyroGadgets when you mean a very good heatsink u mean a liquid cooled one right

  • @Djakkennaia Im sorry im a noob bt wat is a diode nd were cn i gt 1

  • Do you need the wave length to be 445nm? can it be 808nm?

  • @KezzaQB You can use a 808nm diode, but the laser will be near-invisible instead of blue.

  • @PyroGadgets

    808nm + 2W + foam target.

    The end.

  • Is it safe to run this driver without a load??

  • is it possible to have a laser with ... no coulor!!!!

  • @ultrazeen380 an ir laser (infra red) they are invisable

  • can i use my ps1 laser or in laptop????

  • @raz0racanine

Not with this driver, and anyway it would be so weak that it's not worth it.

  • @PyroGadgets I have a huge question ! Ok a Tazer uses 2 AA or 4AA and give 3000wats of shock to bring you down in theory correct.

Can you possibly build a Lazer to work in a simular way where the output was huge and it would make the Lazer far more stronger and enough to have 100x more burning power per blast?

Can you also alow far more power threw the Lazer other than 1 amp?

  • @Dorisequador Short answer, bro: no.

  • @wondledonkey I didn't ask you fuck face.

  • Comment removed

  • @Dorisequador No, lasers need a low current and nothing more, or it will kill the diode. Your talking to a laser pro.

  • @raz0racanine only a diode that can rewrite dvds no ps1 or 2. most laptops will have a red diode up to 250 mw.

  • @boxmour1 can i use discman diode??

  • thats to hard to finde but i well do my best ;) thnx

  • did you not need any kind of variable resistor?

  • @SMG59

No. The driver is a fixed current regulator.

  • @PyroGadgets arite sweet so it alters the amps and the volts automaticly?

  • if i can't buy the diode where i can find it ...in a dvd or somthing else ?

  • @blackend00 In expensive laser video projectors. It's not worth it to buy on just for the diodes.

  • duty cycle?

  • Just finished the laser! Works great despite not having a vice for the driver going into the module (just used two needle nosed pliers at each end). Might I also make a slight suggestion, I had better connections using small wire nuts at most points rather then solder. The solder really requires a steady hand, took me forever to solder the diode. Also when soldering the diode it might be a good idea to have some tape between the leeds to prevent a short. Not alot of space between them.

  • FUCK YOU! I pointet at a plane that flew over my house, it crashed in my yard..

Im gonna sue u! MURDER! MASS MURDER!

  • Why does the heatsink look diferent thean the picture in the modwerx? Yours doens´t have any fins.

    Nice build btw, very simple

  • @andretodopoderoso7 They are both just blocks of aluminium and work just as well as each other. Mine isn't mass produced, so I had to link to another heatsink.

  • Where did you get those goggles? They seem to absorb much more light than the ones I am considering getting.

  • Pointing a strong beam of photons at an aeroplane is equivalent to a death sentence.

  • I had a question though. I plan to use 12 AA batteries and was wondering if I should connect them in series or parallel. I dont have a multimeter so Im not sure what the amperage is but I thought parallel would be better (more amperage same voltage).

  • @Fiki2k7

If you use the same driver as me, you need at least 6 volts and preferably max 15V. So you can't use all of them in either series or parallell. I would group the batteries into two groups of 6, wire both groups in series so each group outputs 9V, then wire the two groups in parallell for a total of 9V and twice the amperage.

  • Just ordered my parts :). Let's see how this goes, I plan to steampunk it too.

  • @Fiki2k7

Nice! Be sure to post a video response with the result!

  • @PyroGadgets I FINALLY got the circuit board and tape from Deal Extreme. It took well over two months after I ordered it but now that I can wire it, I should have that video up in 1-3 weeks depending on how well the steam punking goes. Did you have any issues with DX when ordering? Just curious.

  • @Fiki2k7 I've ordered from DX many times.. It takes a while but it has never taken 2 months :/. But lately chinese mail have been delayed a lot by the christmas rush and bad weather, I've heard.
