  • I don't like it either....

  • Hair milk did not work for me either, maybe because my hair is very thick. I like to watch videos reviews with people who have THICK hair, not people with thin, mixed hair or other types.

  • what about hollywood beauty olive oil moisterizing treatment try that

  • i hate this stuff because of the smell and i bought a big bottle of it. trying to find someone to give it away to.

  • your hair is lovely. im trying to decide whether or not to buy it. i hate spending a lot of money on products. i mite just start making my own lol

  • I don't know. I really liked it. i use to use it before I cut my afro off all the time and It never felt too greasy to me. The smell to me was sweet smelling though it does have a bit of a smell of lemons in it, but I generally like the smell. I do agree though about the price. It is pretty pricy especially when you can just use Shea butter. But yeah, I love the product , but I respect the honesty of the review. Also you are so beautiful!!

  • Thanks for giving an honest review of this product. I do not think I will ever be trying this. I ordered a kit for 4a hair from Curlmart.com and Frank juice came in the kit. I must say that even though the incense smell had to grow on me, I loved how it moisturized my hair without leaving it greasy. Its a great way to refresh bed head.

  • miss jessies is a good moisturizer but it smells really pepper minty but u dont really smell it only when ur putting it in... i love miss jessies

  • first of all ms thang you are not supposed to put all of the oils you used prior to using the hair milk on your hair, because the milk it self is full of moisture. and you are supposed to do your kinky hair in sections, and hopefully your hair hair was mist with a leave-n conditioner before applying. and they have testers at the store the smell didn't change so why buy it if it stink?

  • @lokizi It's just a review with her personal opinion, why are you getting so defensive? She doesn't have to test it at the store, she bought it and took a chance. Getting all pissy at her because she didn't like it is dumb.

  • @MzBRiBR22 I agree!

  • Omg my gosh!! You are so pretty. What do you use on your hair. I want to wear my hair natural but I have no idea what to use.

  • Hair milk does nothing for my hair. The hair milk just sat on top of my hair and made it limp without any definition. I have tried many products from the Carol's Daughter line and nothing seemed to work. Highly disappointed.

  • How much hair milk did you put in? The great thing about the hair milk is a little goes a long way. Many people put a lot in but you're only supposed to put a little so if it is greasy and oily that was your fault, not Carol's Daughter.

  • your curls are soo beautiful! how'd you do it??

  • FYI: For those who don't know Carol's Daughter has redone the Hair Milk line. I agree that the Original is too oily, but there is also a Lite now which A.) Is way less greasy than the Original, and B.) It smells AMAAAAAAAAZING! It's very fresh scented, unlike the original lemongrass scent. Way better than the original. I Love the Hair Milk Lite!

  • I tried Carol's Daughter hair milk an I loved it. You can't use to much or it will make it greasy! I also have tried the hair milk shampoo an condition it i simply love it. My hair is light healthy an shiney!

  • ur gorgeous i like your twist out do u have a video of how you did

  • i think all their products stink, and are really greasy.i went tp the mall this [past weekend and they had the whole product line... i hate funky smelling hair.lol.....sn have u tried trader joe's nourshing conidtioner or oyin handmade honey hemp conditoner.... everyone raves about those two....they said it leaves ur hair super soft and super moisertizer,

  • komaza care is one brand i wanted to try but haven't yet, they ghave 2 hair lotions that have smaple sizes that are ony $5[= if u try it can u do a review vid please?

  • Do you think the combination of the jojoba oil and shea butter along with the hair milk caused your hair to be too greasy? I'm just wondering. I had a similar experience with Miss Jessie's Curly Buttercreme. It was too greasy when i applied it to dry, several day old hair. I tried it again on freshly washed wet/damp hair and the results were much better.

  • I really like the Carol's Daughter Hair Milk. I have applied it after washing and conditioning my hair and also, I have used it after spritzing my hair. I like to use Taliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier first then I apply the CD Hair Milk lightly through my hair. I noticed the lemony smell first then it wore off.

  • I couldn't do the Hair Milk either it was very greasy and it just sat on my hair it didn't penetrate into my hair :0(

  • the healthy hair butter smells fine to me but then again i dont mind the smell of the hair milk either lol ..you dont need much. It gave my hair a nice curl definition. Between that her loc butter or regular shea butter, or Ms Jessies unscented pudding or merengue thats about all i use (ms jessies isnt cheap though only deterrent)

trying to find what works best for your particular hair can be an arduous process

  • Try hollywood products olive oil cream with your shea butter and coconut oil

  • her healthy hair butter works great for my twistouts and braidouts you may wanna try

  • @yomackie yeah see I was thinking about trying the healthy hair butter. How does it smell?

  • If you didn't like the hair milk the I wouldn't buy the healthy hair butter. To me the scent of the hhb is even worse. Smells more medicinal than anything else. My daughter is mixed but still has very tightly curled hair, 4a/4b I suppose, so I bought a load of products from CD. All of which disappointed me. The only nice ones were the Minosa hair honey and the back vanilla leave-in although only because of the scent because my daughters hair never felt moisturized.

  • @NaturalGirlNextDoor i think all their products stink, and are really greasy.i went tp the mall this [past weekend and they had the whole product line... i hate funky smelling hair.lol.....sn have u tried trader joe's nourshing conidtioner or oyin handmade honey hemp conditoner.... everyone raves about those two....they said it leaves ur hair super soft and super moisertizer,

  • thanks! so helpful!

  • I love those earrings. Hair Milk is just okay. It is too oily though. For the price I expected more. I only use the Body stuff by her.

  • @mpenny226 I was thinking about trying the Healthy Hair Butter by her also, but that sounds like it would be too oily also lol.

  • @NaturalGirlNextDoor ,the key with any Carol's Daughter products is to use a little at a time. I have been using the Healthy Hair Butter as a daily moisturizer and the Hair Milk to define my curls.I love the smell of both, they do where off. I have only been using CD products since Mar 2010, this is the first and definitely last natural hair care product for me. I only need those 2 items from her line.try again in smaller quantities, no point in wasting your money. Hope it works better for you.

  • same here i was so dissapointed and i spent over 50 dollars getting the saturday morning special. i hated everything. the smell was the pitts!!!

  • @metamorphasis100 wow, I share your pain..

  • i didnt like the hair milk either it made my hair wet and greasy, your curls are nice though and i love your earrings (where did you get them?)

  • @mzblackbutterfly1 I got my earrings from the store icings by claire's & they're not heavy!! lol

  • i hate the smell. It smells like Luster's pink oil lotion to me. but it seems to work well for my hair

  • thanks for the review!! i've never tried it...I am cheap and I think the products are overpriced...I could be wrong because again, I've never tried it...but how much difference is it going to make with what I use now...which is alot more affordable.

  • @chubbi44 so true, that was my first splurge on hair product but I will definitely stick with my shea butter.

  • I agree with you about the greasy consistency and the stinky smell. I still think shea is better.
