  • I'm pretty sure the Normans were former Vikings that the king of France gave land too.

  • Too bad these Englishmen are most of them of French origin.since William the Conqueror; Stupid fratricidal wars for 400 years!

  • That's gilderoy lockhart from harry potter and the chamber of secrets btw.

  • wiggles19841-Both side experiencing death by boredom then.

  • FUCK YEAH I WANT TO FUCKING PUNCH SOMETHING NOW

  • @soslothful because its a movie

  • @soslothful They were getting an even longer speech

  • And Gentlemen in England now abed, shall think themselves acursed they were not here, and hold there manhoods cheap, while many speak, that fought with us, apon saint crispin's day!!!!!

    2:13

  • hell, who wouldn't want to go into battle after such a speech?

  • Whats the song played in the background called ?

  • 5 people have no stomach to this fight and now hold their manhood cheap

  • Sorry, does not hold a candle to Lawrence Olivier's St. Crispin's Day speech! Olivier transformed the entire performance of Shakespear from a lilting, sing-song style to a spare, tight, dramatic and minimalist modern style. Helen Terry, the great British stage actress said once she'd seen the greatest actor alive. It was the 12 year old Lawrence Olivier.

  • "And gentlemen in England now-a-bed Shall think, Boy I'm sure sure glad I wasn't there at Saint Crispin's day, or I'd be dead!"

  • The teenage boy in this movie is Christian Bale, who starred in Empire of the Sun.

He now plays Bruce Wayne in the new Batman movies.

  • @godzilloid i thought he played Godzilla

  • @mymyharlow Warriors for the Working Day not Warriors of the Working Day.

    Cheers.

  • One of the great things about this clip is it teaches Americans how to properly pronounce English place names. For how not to, watch the"Renaisance Man" clip. Also Liecestershire(Leste'sher), Worcestershire(Wuste'sher), Slough(to rhyme with plough not cough) Barnsley(Taa'n) etc. I cordially invite my fellow Britons to include their own favourite non-phonetically pronounced place names. Also special mention must go to (Surname) Featherstone-Hough(Faversham).

  • @sundayliein4

hahaha i love that scene in Renaissance Man, that guy is adorable trying to pronounce warwick and g-lought-sta

    hehehe

  • a fine Actor and a fantasic script.....

  • I'm not trying to troll or anything... but I find this speech rather ordinary.. feels like he just read the lines. (Only Spencer Tracy can pull that off)

  • @LeeHarveyOswald6 thou art a troll! hehe just messing.. err eth

  • 1:51 onwards is the best bit

  • Although Shakespeare penned this work nearly two hundred years after the Battle of Agincourt (1415), it remains the finest dramatic interpretation of what leadership meant to the men in the Middle Ages.

Although the speech is a work of fiction, it is evocative of the spirit with which Henry--and all strong medieval kings--ruled through the strength of their convictions and by force of their personality.

But you are too late; we have already managed to transplant a Jewish brain into Obama's skull as part of our vast conspiracy. It's the end of days, pal. While you are waiting for the end, try some Risperdal..
