Sri Lanka (SL) is NOT just a country for the Sinhalese. SL Tamils are just as much the children of SL as are our Muslims and other minorities. When you make a wrong statement such as "Ceylon being a Sinhalese country", it only serves to divide the people of SL and exacerbate the issues. Ultimately, this prevents SL from healing and moving forward from its tragic past. Is this what you want for SL?

You must be aware of the fact that during British colonial era, the divide and rule discriminated against majority Sinhala people in Sri Lanka.When Sri Lanka gained independence only 6% of the population could read, write and speak English. There was nothing wrong in bringing Sinhala only act.The Act was meant to correct the historical mistakes of the centuries of Colonial rule. Unfortunately Mr. Bandaranayaka was murdered before he could fully implement his agenda.

You are absolutely right! I am Tamil, and I am very comfortable living with them. Sinhalese are brought up with Buddhist ideoloy, that they became innocents, not stupids! Some upper class Tamils & Sinhalese took advantage on that. Some Tamils (especially from Jaffna) think they are superior to rest of the tamils in the world. When they need higher education they go to Tamil Nadu, then they put down Tamil Nadu Tamils.

The word primitive was bit over used here, most likely to get the viewers to visit Ceylon back in the day as an adventure.

And the dance they showed is not traditional at all.. seems like they paid a couple of local guys to dress up in leaves and jump up and down for marketing purposes.
