dont forget syd barrett. unfortunately his insanity shortened his influence on the band, but made way for david gilmour, perhaps the finest guitarist of all time. with roger water's artistic direction, pink floyd is/was one of the top 5 bands of all times both commercially and artistically. they pushed the envelope of rock to new heights and roger waters deserves quite a bit of credit for that. roger is one of the best musicians of all time.

Anyone who denies Roger Waters Genius is ignorant. The Waters led Floyd was/is genius. But without all 4 members: Roger, Dave, Nick and Richard Pink Floyd can only be considered a tribute band. Syd's child like songs are goofy and really give Floyd a different feel.

Yeah. There's something so personal about his songs and style. Pros and Cons and Radio Kaos were two of the best shows I've ever seen, and I saw the original Dark Side of the Moon Tour, called " A Piece for Lunatics". That was probably the best show ever, but I was very young at the time.
