  • Awesome!!

  • Thumbs up if ur lefty =]

  • dude i would buy that! its nice!

  • hooray for leftys

  • Looks like a Fender strat with the horns cut off,

  • i would buy that.

  • nice! & ur left handed just like me :D

  • Well I like it because it's left-handed. I've never gotten to try playing guitar because I'm a lefty. As far as I know, you can only find lefty guitars in California. At least that's what I've been told. I know there's some no-name lefty guitars on ebay.

  • @TwiztidAsh I live in ohio and theres a music store called sam ash

they sell left handed guitars they sell telecasters, stratocasters, and mabey even jaguars

    sweet store:)

  • @TwiztidAsh- Basically every guitar company makes left handed guitars, and mostly every music store sells them. They usually cost a tad bit more though, because less are made.

  • holy crap its one of the Gallaghers xD

  • @MrGasson I was hoping to be the first to notice this. It's uncanny.

  • @slovibond lmfao i know right

  • looks good dude!

  • Lefties Unite!

  • it kind of resembles the old ovation electric guitars.

  • Lefty Unite!!

  • strat and tele put together stelecastor

  • I guess your a southpaw

  • looks good although i would have put some mean humbuckers in there just to make it that more crisp but thats just me, as for the name this was added what 2 years ago now so youve probably decided but just chucking out the name 'cheetah'...the diago cheetah? dunno i'll probably regret ever chucking that out there

  • amazing you might call it blue ice thats what it reminded me of

  • LEFTY!!!!!!!!!!

  • les paul-

    strat-

    tele-

    mustang-

    jazzmaster-

    tele custom-

    =

    The les prattostratotelestangmaster custom.

  • @mrjakesk8 and grestch?

  • its kinda got this this cool crisp sound betwen like a tele, but like a SG but without that deep tone, its kinda... fun? i guees? i love it man good work, haha :)

  • Cool guitar. Got a very good alternative-rock sound.

  • A hybrid between a strat and tele? Looks more like a single cutaway fender mustang.

  • holy sac, that sounds so clean. you should call it a the stratophone. i really like it.

  • Diagocaster :)

  • the thing sounds really nice. the only con would be i think it looks a little uncomfortable to play

  • i think it sounds rather good

  • sick guitar bro sounds awsome .... i want one lol

  • im making a bass. did you make that?

  • Sounds really good. I like the tone of that guitar.

  • SOUNDS LIKE SHIT

  • Well done. You found the caps lock key, and you're intelligent enough to know that the sound is recorded by a webcam; notorious for their high quality sound recording properties. Particularly at high SPLs. Another genius is bestowed on the world.....

  • Great guitar! How about the Diago "Blue Horizon" prototype for a name????

  • is this mirorized or are you a lefty?

  • it says diago on the head from right to left so i asume he is lefty like me XD

  • Lefty!

  • @maloushe Hell Yeah! Always nice to see another lefty. I love it, the selection and availability of Left handed guitars is so small that you decided to build your own!

  • if i ever become famous ill hunt u down and buy that beautiful guitar from you.

  • what song did u play

  • Read the other comments...both songs are originals....

  • Nice guitar you made....

  • Nice guitar. =)

  • the spirt walker seems a good name for it or name it sumthin personal to u after all your going to be the only one playing it

  • looks kind of like an ovation viper to me.

    but nice job.

  • Hey...I had never seen the Ovation Viper before...but, you're right...they're very similar...!

  • Good Job!

  • Nice job building a functioning electric guitar in the first place, let alone make it sound really good. I think you could call it the Dreamweaver or something of that nature. (Dreamcatcher, Sleepwalker, etc.)

  • you sound like billy idol

  • call it gay but i think Panther sounds like a good name cuz it kinda reminds me of a Jag but not at the same time soo yea...

  • I'd go for fuckinator x.

  • i think cyclops works pretty well as a name, still awsome guitar dude!

  • not to offend you but the body work seems kind of gay....like it would look alot better if the body was much more bigger and the edges like more pointy but thats just me talking shit but its pretty kool

  • nice guitar dude!

  • it kind of looks like a mix of the jazzmaster, stratocaster and telecaster

  • nice, i think its original, how about the diegocaster?

  • Thanks! I live for originality!!! O)←Cyclops!

  • I would call it: The Diago Dynaflash

  • nice guitar never seen anying like that on youtube

  • Omg a lefty! Lol... great guitar man, awesome paintjob especially! Nice clean tone, but how does it sound with some distortion?

  • pritty cool man reminds me of a danelectro

  • pretty nice sound... it went right high up sometimes, but i think that was just your mic... what was that first song you were playing?

  • Sound Pretty Good!!

    Best Wishes!

    Good Luck!

  • at around 0:42 the pickups look like eyes and the bar-like thing udner them looks like a mouth.

    It's a guitar kinda-happy-face!

  • cool ur a left hand

  • Call it the Pimp! Awesome guitar!

  • really cool guitar

  • SOUNDS GOOD NEEDS A BETTER AMP (grr capslock sorry)

  • nice work dude...cool guitar...nice sounds....

  • very nice guitar but its not home made as the video title suggests...

  • ......yes it is. How would you know whether it is or isn't homemade?

  • isnt that just a normal guitar u bought?

  • No it's not.....read the blurb.

  • dude a good name .... Bubbler(then didgets w/e for like modle #)

  • simply Brilliant sounds wonderful

  • its probally just a normal guitar put through an effects pedal

  • Hmm....another unsubstantiated comment....

There's no effects or trickery involved, just the guitar plugged directly into a Fender Blues Junior and recorded on my shitty webcam. Personally, I don't think the recording sounds so great, but in real life, the guitar does sound pretty good....

  • that guitar looks awesome.. i like the sound..id buy that any day..nice work

  • that sounds clean and amazing, wow nice guitar man

  • i think "Apollo" is a great name. it is the name of the greek god of the sun an who was chalenged in a music contest by the gods 'Pan' (pan pipes are named after him) and 'Marsyas' (who played a magic flute he stole). Both were beaten instantly by apollo.

Also Apollo played a lyre which is a stringed instrument. as expressed in this quote.

"Then Apollo struck the strings of his lyre. Tmolus at once awarded the victory to Apollo."

  • you've got a beautiful looking instrument there. great job

  • cool man nice one

  • still accepting names? i say because your design came from fusing a tele and a strat, and you'll be making both righty and lefty versions, call them TSR and TSL (telestrat righty). depending on if you plan on offering different versions with different quality parts/wood, you could add something after it, such as the "Diago TSR Standard" and "Diago TSR Custom."

Looks and sounds great man, I wish you the best of luck. Send me one when you're rich and the whole world is playing your TSR Customs!

  • very cool dude...it was great!

  • some guitar advise when you play dont put ur thumb so high cuff ur hand my teacher just taught me that

  • Thanks Yoda. If I knew what you were on about it would be even more useful.

  • i dont understand what your saying

  • That's exactly my point. Your first comment makes no sense; can you explain clearly please?

  • o sure what i meant was when u play your chords your hand should not be holding the guitar like a baseball bat, i used to do that all the time just recently a few days ago i leared how not to do that its a bad habbit but yea reply with any more questions or comments.

  • OK, I understand what you mean. My question would be why?

I don't always have my thumb over the top, and when I do I use my thumb for fretting / deadening / other useful stuff.

Did your guitar teacher give you a reason as to why it's an official 'bad habit'?

  • thats exactly what i thought at first, but i guess thats not proper form i dont know i deff will ask though

  • thats like when i was at school and the teachers gave me detention for not holding my pensil in the "right way", who says we have to stick to original forms, music has evolved from change in style and technique, we'd still be bashing a stick on a wall and shouting og is we stuck to the original roots of music.

my point is that the thumb over the top doesnt always make your music sound worse.

  • i agree 100 percent but i was just saying what my teacher told me to do

  • I think you should call it a guitar. i think the idea was to make your own instrament.

  • The remit was "homemade instruments" if you read. I think you should learn to spell.

  • very cool man, i love it

  • in my opinion, it looks like a mix of a les paul shape, and a tele :P

  • I'd say that was a fair evaluation! :P

  • call it a telestrat

    instead of a telecast

  • how is this homemade

  • Because I designed and made it at home.

  • Cheers!

  • it's almost exactly the same as the fender jaguar

and btw the neck is a standard strat and so is the headstock

  • "it's almost exactly the same as the fender jaguar" Um, no it's not. It's nothing like a Jaguar.

"btw the neck is a standard strat and so is the headstock" Again, it's neither of those two things, and how would you know, simply by looking at it? The neck and headstock is actually based on the design of a Yamaha Pacifica.

    Well done for contributing nothing.

  • call it rock bird

  • Good suggestion, I like it...

  • i really like the shape of the headstock!

    looks like the firebird's one

  • Cool, it's based on that of a Yamaha Pacifica. But it works in the overall context of the design.

  • Call it: Dinostratos!

  • Maybe...! ;)

  • woah, i really like that body shape!

  • Thanks. It's pretty hard to come up with something that's both cool, practical and reasonably original....

  • looks like the ethiopian version of a duojet...or if a duojet fucked a jazzmaster and this was its love child

  • I couldn't put it better myself. Hopefully it got the good genes from each!

  • sweet your a lefty the pick guard kinda looks like a jaguar/jazzmaster pretty sweet maybe you should sell the idea to fender

  • Nice idea. The problem is that designs that are artistic (with no functional merit) can't be patented, so what exactly is there to 'sell'? Unfortunately, companies don't pay for ideas that they don't have to pay for.....

  • wow you should sell those man

  • We would love to....when we get better distribution for our other products sorted out, we'll go back to the guitars....

  • call it a stratusphere

  • Nice!

  • Call it Little Bitch

  • Reminds me...Ovation´s Viper body.

  • call it jim

  • If that was right handed, I would want to buy it

  • ;) Both left and right handed versions will be available.

  • Were you playing life is a highway?

  • Nope. The songs are called, Delusions of Grandeur, and Rembrance.

  • looks kinda like an ovation (not a bad thing ovation electrics are NICE)

  • it's left handed

  • It's blue. Is this the "point out the obvious" game?

  • Maybe Deco, short for Art Deco

  • how abought crave3.0

  • Heres a name, "The Vibe-Master" Vibe as in Vibrations.

  • dude thats crisp what pick ups and when/where can i get one?

  • the reason why its crip is because of the hight of the pick up

  • no its because of the quality of the vidio

  • Right!

  • Wrong.

  • it should be called the phemor

  • i think the fret's width is a bit small.T_T

  • What?! You must be a genius. How could you possibly tell from a crappy youtube video?!

The neck and frets are to fairly standard dimensions, otherwise it wouldn't be great to play!

  • you should call it the psilocybe

  • it looks a lot like brian may's red special...well, the body shape at least...

  • Indeed. It does a bit, although I like to think that this is a bit more balanced from a design point of view. The top horn on the Red Special just doesn't seem to flow right to me. It is about the same size though.

  • humpfreys a good name.

  • fukin cool

  • is that a leftie or does ur webcam reverse it ?

  • correct.

  • It is a leftie. ;)

  • i think the name universe is good like whyfight said..

    Or Atmosphere

    dunno whatever

  • dude diego is my name and yes u little faggot mofos like go diego go

im emo like elmo or is it im confused

  • Can't say I understand your little rant.

  • nice guitar man, really cool, like the color, cool you are left handed to, me to.

  • Call it Universe

  • Nice playing, did you come up with that yourself?

  • Yip. I did. Sorry that the sound quality is so poor, I need to get my recording gear set up next time, rather than rely on the webcam mic!

  • call it bob.

  • he obviously didnt make that guitar

  • What makes you say that?

  • Haha. Based on what? That's probably the finest form of flattery; when someone thinks that it's so good that you couldn't have possibly made it!

You'd do well to do a little research and find out who Diago are, then you might 'believe'. Haha.

    Thanks. ;)

  • .... just a guitar

     not cool

looks at other posts for SHOW ME YOUR HOMEMADE INSTRUMENTS waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy cooler

  • Indeed, you're right it is just a guitar.

However, I didn't build it in response to 13strings post; I built it at least a couple of years before. And I never pretended that it's some kind of invention, or new kind of instrument type. At least it's a real instrument, rather than a gimmick.

  • awesome.

  • call it steven

  • How about a Wilkinson Italia? That's a good name for it...

  • Ha! Which one do you think it looks like?

That's interesting, as I made it before the Wilkinson Italian stuff was even advertised. Maybe I should be suing Trev!

  • To my knowlage Wilkinson is a guitar hardware manufacturer, and Italia is a brand of guitar. I would not advise steppng on either big company's toes... especailly with Diago being an upstart small company.

  • Wilkinson is the surname of Trevor Wilkinson. You're right, he designs and sells guitar hardware under the Wilkinson brand, and also designed the Italia series. How, by designing a guitar, am I stepping on anyone's toes? Particularly when it was designed and made before the Italia series appeared?

    Upstart, no. Start-up, yes.

  • I'm talking about copyright issues will calling your guitar a wilkenson or italia. If a copyrighted name already exists, I would think that you would have a difficult time fighting for it as an upstart compny verses established corperation. I just don't think it's worth the trouble or the confusion to the consumer. But what do i know about business, i'm just a music major.

  • Jonnda, who said that we might try or want to call it a Wilkenson (sic) or Italia? What would be the point of that?!

    ;)

  • If you look at the "see all comments" then all will be understood. My origonal comment was to patchworkcat who posted 6 months ago that you should name it Italia ect. and that you jokingly(?) thought about sueing Trevor. I didn't see any point in calling it a wilkinson either. So let's just agree to agree. My vote is still that you call it the Diago Maloushe

  • ;) I saw that. I took it that patchwork cat was being-in-cheek, pointing out that he/she thought it looked a bit like one of the Italia guitars. Likewise, my reply about suing Trev Wilkinson was joking/sarcastic too.....

    Good name suggestion too...

  • Ahhh... didn't catch that at the time. never mind. good luck selling your guitar.

  • looks like he is reading off of a list of specs on a website.

  • Why on earth would I be reading the specs from a website, for a guitar that I've built?

If you stop and think, or even read some of the other comments, you'll see that I was simply checking that the guitar was positioned well on the camera.

  • nice lol how bout telestracaster-2000

  • sweet dude... call it the stelecaster.. idk just a thought

  • oh, a lefty, eh?

  • Yep! Not a lot of choice in that matter, unfortunately!

  • I don't think being a lefty aybe a hassle in some public activities... They say the left side of your brain controls the right side of the body, and vice versa... Does that mean you'
