Methadone is NOT free....not where I live. Southern US..here you pay 25 a day...150 once a month EXTRA to be checked by a doctor and 20 everytime they want to test your pee. Still have to pull crimes to be scripted!!

man i've been strung out on oycontin morphine, nitrazepam, valium a whole lotta stuff throughout my life never got to the point of being homeless for a long enough period of time to declare myself homeless. i feel for these people, each and every one of them and i hope that in their own way they all get back on their feet, i usually dont pay for my movies, im paying for this one because this is one film that tells it like it is no romantic bullshit. this film has real heart man

If you really want to see this thang, go to your local library and ask them to order it. Tell them it is for some kind of recovery project, or to educate junkies in your area. Your local library shouldn't have a problem ordering it. I'm in Canada though, so I know that would work here, maybe the States would be a little more aprehensive about ordering junkie documentaries, but it's worth a shot. (Hah.... shot .....get it.)

12 seconds ago I finally found this doc at my local library in the documentary section. I was borrowing a few dvd's and my eyes passed over it and I yelled "s$%t" right out loud in the library, everyone around me looked over at me. I then I said "I've been looking for this for a couple years" to sort of explain my outburst. but anyway, found it, watched it. Good doc, not quite what I was expecting, but good none the less. Best part about DVd was the follow up with the junkies years later.
How much is H in USA???? i heard some really strange prices for even stranger quantities (bags and what not) In EU (my country iz Slovenia) it costs 30 € /gram. That's around 40 dollars....

I wish there were more videos like this on youtube. one little thing that bothered me: these heroin addicts seemed to be pretty hard into it, but none of them knew how to properly get air out of there needle... flicking it just creates more bubbles, you're supposed to like, hold it near your head needle pointing up and swiftly flick it down in a quick motion, while holding it steady straight up and down.. kind of hard to describe in words. works much better tho

I've done China White straight from NYC, but we still cooked it. I thought maybe thats what they were doing with the citrus acid, like using it instead of cooking. Been a long time since I used street dope.

i believe the difference between suboxone and and subutex is the presence of naloxone, anyone correct me if i'm wrong. you can't snort or shoot suboxone because you'll get horrible effects from it, the equivalent really bad withdrawal. suboxone is taken sublingually, meaning it is placed under the tongue and dissolved into the veins under the tongue. you can't chew it or swallow it. i am prescribed suboxone, but i wish i could get subutex.

me too, actually. it was blue and zipped all the way around, and opened up like a little book, with several zipper sections and little pockets and a bunch of elastic slots, like the kind you can stick pencils into in a bookbag. i used it when i had $1200/week habit, and i kept it in a corner of my room, and even months after i stopped using it, it REAKED of heroin. in a way that made my mouth water and made me get that delightfully nauseous feeling.

the first guy you see, stealth, is actually a really nice guy, really interesting to talk to. he moves around a lot, currently living a little ways upstate.
Hardcore is the point. IF ou start playing around with hard drugs you will end up in this situation. All of those in the film have told me it only took a short period of time before they became addicted. They lost lots of self worth and became slaves to the heroin. There is nothing cool or chic about herion.

Your local library shouldn't have a problem ordering it. I'm in Canada though, so I know that would work here, maybe the States would be a little more aprehensive about ordering junkie documentaries, but it's worth a shot. (Hah.... shot .....get it.)
By the way, I am a recovering junkie, so it is possible to get clean.

12 seconds ago I finally found this doc at my local library in the documentary section. I was borrowing a few dvd's and my eyes passed over it and I yelled "s$%t" right out loud in the library, everyone around me looked over at me. I then I said "I've been looking for this for a couple years" to sort of explain my outburst. but anyway, found it, watched it. Good doc, not quite what I was expecting, but good none the less. Best part about DVd was the follow up with the junkies years later.

@billieishot7 Like my brother was a heroin junkhead and always stealing from me to buy his dope. He even tried to pimp me to some asshole friend for dope. He used to go outside our building and shoot up inside the dumpster. I got sick and tired of his bullshit and paid off one of his junkie dealer friends for a hot shot (dope, coke, speed, LSD, whatever). I left it around the house and it disappeared. I never saw him again.
That's how I solved my heroin problem.

in EUrope we have only brown rock H. It' called brown sugar, and it's brown because of the ingredient they mix it with. And you have to use citric acid (ascorbic acid, vitaminc C powder or plain lemon juice) an boil it to get the H liqiu. The Balcan heroin is probbly alot stronger or cheaper than British heroin. Its £10 gb for 0.4 of a gram. Thats about 11 euro

Thank you for posting this video. I wish there were more videos like this on youtube. one little thing that bothered me: these heroin addicts seemed to be pretty hard into it, but none of them knew how to properly get air out of there needle... flicking it just creates more bubbles, you're supposed to like, hold it near your head needle pointing up and swiftly flick it down in a quick motion, while holding it steady straight up and down.. kind of hard to describe in words. works much better tho

I've done China White straight from NYC, but we still cooked it. I thought maybe thats what they were doing with the citrus acid, like using it instead of cooking. Been a long time since I used street dope.

i believe the difference between suboxone and and subutex is the presence of naloxone, anyone correct me if i'm wrong. you can't snort or shoot suboxone because you'll get horrible effects from it, the equivalent really bad withdrawal. suboxone is taken sublingually, meaning it is placed under the tongue and dissolved into the veins under the tongue. you can't chew it or swallow it. i am prescribed suboxone, but i wish i could get subutex.

be careful. i was clean for 8 months, i was convinced that i was in the safe zone. i was convinced that i could stop avoiding dope related things, since i had stayed clean for eight months without one single slip up.. so i started hanging out with old friends i missed.. started seeing them shoot up, told them i was strong enough to be there while they did it without wanting to do it... but i wasn't. i'm back to it. it's not as hard as you think to go back down the dark path of heroin addiction..

me too, actually. it was blue and zipped all the way around, and opened up like a little book, with several zipper sections and little pockets and a bunch of elastic slots, like the kind you can stick pencils into in a bookbag. i used it when i had $1200/week habit, and i kept it in a corner of my room, and even months after i stopped using it, it REAKED of heroin. in a way that made my mouth water and made me get that delightfully nauseous feeling.

Hardcore is the point. IF ou start playing around with hard drugs you will end up in this situation. All of those in the film have told me it only took a short period of time before they became addicted. They lost lots of self worth and became slaves to the heroin. There is nothing cool or chic about herion.
