@sbiomlbta1fan it is because it is STRICTLY forbidden according to the warrior code to have kits with a cat outside your clan . And obviously , crowfeather was NOT in her clan. She gave her kits to squirrleflight and begged her to pretend they were her own. She was to afraid of what other cats would think about her if they knew she broke the warrior code. And obviously, even if no one found out she had the kits with crowfeather , it is still against the warrior code to have the position of clan

It is just sad. Crowfeather loved her, and wanted to be together. I understand that. But when she chose to stay loyal to her clan, he took it as if Leafpool never loved him at all. And when she had his kits, he hated her even more. It is natural! You loved this cat, and because she wanted to stay LOYAL, and though she STILL loved you, you turned your back on her and chose another mate just to prove your "loyalty". It makes me even more sad for Leafpool.

Ok my eyes started to water when leafpools flash backs started happening and then I held it back but when she saw the flower and let it go in the wind they started watering again and then when it hit crowfeather and he stepped on the flower and crushed it it made me cry soo fricking bad and it nearly broke my heart. As it's against the rules of medicine cats to have kits, especially if their father is from another clan (which is against the warrior code), Leafpool gave her kits to Squirrelflight so she could continue being a medicine cat. If she had confessed to the clans that the kits were hers, she would've had to give up healing

However, if you've read that far, Hollyleaf goes crazy and tells everyone Leafpools secret

She left Crowfeather because he was from Windclan, and the Warrior code.
