I would not use a sponge! Us a microfiber mit or wash cloth. Sponges tend to captuer and hold dirt on the surface of which causes abarasion and scratching as you rub the sponge over the car's paint. I recomend the use of a 2 bucket system where the 2nd bucket is full of clean warm water to rinse of the micro fiber mit/wash cloth to ensure it is clean.
