The game feels unfinished because it is unfinished. Sega made the devolopers rush the game so it would be out for the holidays. The team just needed another solid month and the game would have been out-fucking-standing. Just imagine sonic 06

but without the bugs, without the plothole, and with a proper super hedgehog battle.

@Omegam444 Exactly. Hell , from what I heard one of the things that was scrapped due to time constraints was a story where you played as Metal Sonic and a multicolored gem that lets your character turn super. Because of this game getting rushed , it nearly ended Sonic's video game career.

@musicmaster531 Just a few things, but the game wasn't as bad as everyone says. Belittling the game is just a fad that everyone took up. The game was overall pretty solid except for the few things that really WERE wrong with it. As with all Sonic games, they all have several things wrong about them. This one just had a little extra. Elise for one, glitches, loading screens, plots holes and Elise. Come on though, even Transformers had plot holes and people still love that movie. Sonic06was decent

They even had a rainbow gem in the game for a super sonic transformation but they left it out. I think it's a nice game though, pretty decent, screw the glitches, with them aside it isn't bad.

It was buggy, took forever to load, the storyline had weird elements, the whole human x hedgehog thing, those fucking high speed levels, Shadow still using guns, and the like. SEGA rushed it out, and that ended badly. I only touched on a few of the issues. It was mediocre at best if you ignored all those errors and more, somehow.

Only Shadow's story was any good. Silver's was just completely pointless. Sonic's had Elise as the main focus. And Last Story was downright confusing (and, ugh, more Elise focus). All this is just IMO, of course.

No, it's worse than that. Mephiles' goal is to fuse with Iblis, forming Solaris. As you know, Mephiles went to the future, where Silver was. Iblis was already free in that future. WHY did he not just fuse with Iblis in the future? Solaris is a god of time. It doesn't matter WHEN they fuse, because the fused form controls time! Seriously, Iblis is only about 5-10 miles from where Mephiles appears in the future. He could've fused with Iblis in the future.

It gets so much hate because it's buggy and unfinished. The controls get stiff at times, and there's FPS issues. The 360 shouldn't be having framerate problems with it, 06's graphics aren't THAT good. The bugs are horrific (falling through the ground, controls locking up at critical moments, Knuckles and Rouge getting stuck inside walls, etc). The story has at least one giant plothole. All in all, there's just so much wasted potential. It's kinda sad, the game could've been really good.

I said the only thing they got right was the music. That means that EVERYTHING ELSE is bad. Story is confusing and ultimately pointless (it undoes itself at the end, making the entire game a waste of time), voice acting is horrific, especially with Elise, gameplay is glitchy, controls are stiff, I could go on.

Well, it's not that it looks like the Triforce, as much as it looks like the Hylian Crest that you see in Twilight Princess as well as other zelda games. The crest just so happens to have the Triforce on it.
