hey i followed the link to the site that has the actual RUU update and it did not have the htc xv 6800 as a phone i was wondering if there was a more direct link

Hmm That link is directly from the PCD website that host the update file. I just tried downloading it and it worked fine for me.
when i downloaded the update from your link i saved to my desktop and when i open it, it says it is invailid or corrupt
