people, the rider is fine. if you notice and watch carefully the horse has uneven movement. He speeds up, or surges. hard to ride when they do that and sometimes when you give a small releasr the horse won't charge after he lands
does he adjust to new riders easily? or does he take a while to get used to you. i need him to be ready for showing at training level eventing by next summer if im interested in buying. also would you say he is a pleasant ride or does he take some hard work to get him to sttle?
lay off! the rider is very good! and after reading your comments I would like to see you ride! I don't really think you can do it any better. And for all of you that said he isn't sitting right, YOU need more lessons! and he does release, releasing dosen't mean you should throw your hands up to the horse's ears, he is a very soft rider, he moves with the horse!
he looks and moves exactly like my old horse. my trainer sold him and i'll do absoloutly ANYTHING to get him back. shes an idiot i hope that creep gets what she deserves
But what's up with the leaning so far forward? Try keeping your bum in the saddle and shoulders back. Whenever you put your shoulders even an inch forward, makes it that much harder for the horse.
...why would it make it harder for the horse to move leaning forward? If anything, getting up off of your horse's back makes jumping/moving easier; that's why riders go into jumping position over fences!
Exactly, they do it over fences, not on the ground.
The more forward you lean, the more weight you put on the horse's front legs, making the movement harder. I'm not saying they shouldn't move forward at all, but not as much as this. Perhaps it is better for this particular horse, I don't know. But in general, it's more correct to ride sitting up straight with the shoulders back rather than leaning out of the saddle.
You can see the difference between 1:01 and 1:11 . The horse moves better and is more collected at 1:11 when the rider is sat up straight and in the saddle, and more messily when the rider leans forward out of the saddle. Perhaps it works for this horse, but you can still see the difference.
SORRY SOME ONE SENT THIS TO ME AND IT SCARED ME SO I HAD TO DO IT PLZ FORGIVE ME IM NOT TRYING TO ADVERTISE BUT IM SCARED OF WHAT IT SEES in 1908 a lady named sally rusa was in the woods looking for a dog until a ghost came and killed her so if ur reading this u will find a bloody body in your closet hanging there haunting you and will kill you and ur family and if u want to stop this just sends this to 6 videos in 30 mins or this will happen good
Wow. Amazing jump on that horse! riders got a fabulous jumping technique, although it whener i see someone not wearing a helmet, no matter how experienced or whatever, i still flinch... i would never dare to ride without a helmet. I know what will probably happen. XD
For those asking where this horse is located, it says on the poster's page Lithuania. Also, considering this was posted almost a year ago, I doubt the horse is still available. Just thought I'd mention it.
if u ask any smart horse person they will tell you that you should always ride any horse (plugs or jumpie) with a crop and spurs. its up to the rider to use them or not.
I want this horse!!!! Not very fond of using spurs. I think horses can learn well without them. But that is just my opinion. Such a beautiful stride!!!
thirdly he is riding in a half seat, it keeps the weight of the horses back and is actually a very good excersise for all riders as it balences the rider and strengthens there legs and keeps there leggs still
finally
so what if he doesn't ride in a hat. it is his choice
neither do i, i only where a hat wen hacking out, riding youngsters and competing if im not going to where a hat its my chioce and by doing so i will have to deal with the consequences if i fall off and die. well said WHOSINTHEBAG .
secondly the comment about the spurs, there used for loads of reasons, some riders just prefer to ride in them, others feel that the particular horse might need them just to make it go quicker, although in this case i would say that the rider is using them to keep the horse more colleceted and to keep him seccure when jumping as when u are jumping bigger you can't afford to be flapping about and kicking.
i wanna say, coz i have been reading all the comments, that there are reasons as to why the rider is doing what he is doing!!!
firstly, the comment bout the riders hands. the horse is 7 years old and horses such as this one do natrully mature older than say a welsh pony, so 7 years old is still young and the rider is simply sponging his hands to get the horses attnetion and to keep him focused as the horse is probly focusing more on what is going on around him than the job in hand.
I Think The Horse Is A Wonderful Mover, And There's Nothing Wrong With The Rider.
Are You Mad Who Thinks there's SomethingWrong With The Rider?. I Think I would Prefer A Pure White Arab For My First Horse, But Whoever Buys Her's So Lucky Xx
for all you idiots who think he's not sitting right, it's called a half seat! and it's perfectly fine! so go worry about your faults before you worry about other peoples!
yall ere idiots ok because this horse is going around very smothly and i bet none of u could do that and dont say that i cant because i jump 6 foot i bet yall cant even jump
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
ummmm this guy DOES need more lessons, i mean c'mon he cant even sit the canter right and so what if he has "lower-back pains" he shouldnt be riding a horse.
...Except that he's not trying to sit the canter. It's called half-seat. It allows the horse to move more freely under the rider, especially so that the horse can extend his canter and jump more effectively. Not right for every horse--some collect and respond better during a course when the rider really settles in the saddle--but most horses move much more easily with the rider in a half-seat, not interfering with the motion.
i think this guy has had enough lessons and this is not a hunter horse!Pauls' Schockemoehle trainers do not think this guy is "not releasing" over the jump, so...
looks like a very nice horse (: guys needs to get the horse between his hand and leg more though. The horse looks like he's just plodding round.

And the hat thing is completely up to the rider.
