Mac OS 9.2 boots up lightning fast on these babies, and 3D games (okay, 3D games up until 2001 or so, around the time CroMag Rally came out) that can't take advantage of the standard graphics card still play very nice! Well done, Apple, Well done!

Now if only we could still run Mac OS 9 native on newer macs. Mac OS 9 and earlier made much more sense to me.

Not really. Back then, the G3 did toast the Pentium whatever. The fact that Intel is better now doesn't mean it was better in the 80's and 90's.
