I feel like those blocked combinations, esp 5-8, are a base for that "Nawlins" acordian sound, bayou blues style. A lot of directions you can go from there both in rhythm and solo.

I think i got this figured out...a "walking" base line, notes for a I IV V in key of G:

I: G B D E F E D B

IV: C E G A Bb A G E

V: D Gb A B C B A Gb (but not usually played like this)

Which if "octavized" (octavated?) is like this:

I: 3-6 blow, 3-7draw, 4-8draw, 5-8blow, 5-9draw and go back down last 3,

IV: 4-7blow, 5-8blow, 3-6blow, 6-10draw, 3-6draw (B7th?), go down 3 again

V: play first four notes? 4-8D, 6-9B?, 6-10D, and then the B note?
