Not only did she not listen to her interviewee but also demonstrated her lack of understanding of how the electoral system actually works. I don't think this is particularly bad interview in terms of bias. I expect journalists to be invasive and to ask hard questions. No doubt Sky does seem to be biased towards the Tories - after all, all of the sister papers are. This is not comparable to Adam Boulton's rant at Alistair Campbell. what a horrible individual Kay Burley is. Some researcher has asked this poor guy to appear on telly to represent his cause and he has this ignorant low rent so called journalist not letting him get a word in edge ways.
Did she even listen to what his cause was before went into him. To say that 65% of the people voted for a hung parliament is ridiculous. We voted for a number of parties and not one of them got an overall majority.

If you want to see Burley outmatched, watch her against a thinking Journalist James O brien who made her look like what she really is a TVAM weather girl. In many respects I am glad that this interview happened. It more or less confirmed Kay Burley's lack of basic journalism skills. Not only did she not listen to her interviewee but also demonstrated her lack of understanding of how the electoral system actually works. Furthermore she confuses her interruptions with robust interviewing. Overall it was unsophisticated and she embarrassed not only herself but Sky News. I think she needs more editorial guidance.

Even if he was chairman of the Flat Earth Society, she should not - as a professional journalist - hector, badger and attempt to antagonise him in such a manner that he is not even able to explain why he was there. Unprofessional behaviour towards a member of the general public and political bias like that should be investigated by Ofcom promptly.

I can understand that journalists will play 'devils advocate' in order to achieve balance, but this woman carries it too far. With this, and the Peter Andre interview, is it any wonder that I shy away from Sky News and much prefer the BBC.
We know that Mr. Murdoch is supporting the Conservatives in his Sun (and others) newspapers. Sky News has the same brashness as the Sun and it looks like its journalists are trying to curry favour with their ultimate boss.

'the public voted for'? I don't beleive we had a big dicussion and decided 'yes, we shall vote for a hung parliment on Thursday'- 'Hung Parliment' certainly wasn't on my ballot paper! Lack of sleep is perhaps some excuse for her behaviour- but not for such inherent disrespect! Free press is a gauarantor of democracy- a responsible press might help too!!! I don't think this is particularly bad interview in terms of bias. I expect journalists to be invasive and to ask hard questions. No doubt Sky does seem to be biased towards the Tories - after all, all of the sister papers are. This is not comparable to Adam Boulton's rant at Alistair Campbell. I received an e-mail back from Sky saying that Mr Boulton was simply "being interviewed", and was not acting as an "interviewer". I hope they improve their journalistic standards.
