  • Anna puoi solo andare a cantare al mercato del pesce.

  • Fine singing. Bravo!

  • yo(L)ANNA! definitivamente esta es su aria! me encanta, muy risueña :)

  • No variety, poor enunciation, poor dynamics

    R.I.P. LEHAR

  • Por Dios!! esta buena por donde se la mire!, que cosita.

  • You notinced! I think women get pinched also!

  • After all that dancing around, it's only natural that she'd want to make sure everything was still "in place"! (And what's with all the 'thumbs down' for this comment? Lighten up, people!)

  • Be happy for all those thums down. They are from people who don't really like operetta. With those thums you get how many they are.

  • porque cortan antes el video que rabia

  • Netrebko does these outrageous things, but she gets away with them because they work with the material, and more importantly, because she truly does channel the character, Guiditta.

It's more obvious in this video than some others because of the English subtitles.

Her critics usually ramble on about all sorts of irrelevancies. What matters is the total effect, which was abundantly clear from the audience's reaction.

Opera is showmanship, and Netrebko is a showman par excellence.

  • She is absolutely outrageous: she touches people, gets them to laugh, and raise the roof. It used to be called 'having the craic'-- but, as you so rightly say, those self-preserving Operatic Taliban, have decided she is bad for OPERA! Showwomanship with gusto and significant talent-- Yes/No?

  • Try this thought experiment. What Netrebko did is not as easy as it looks. Don't believe me? Just imagine another singer. She's alone on the same stage, with the same conductor, the same orchestra, the same audience. She tries the same thing as Netrebko, and not having Netrebko's flair, it misfires. Major embarrassment for everyone present.

  • This is sooo great!!!!

    Love her accent...ha ha.

Only La Netrebko may do these things.

  • extraordinario

  • She caught the traditional boisterous mood of the "last night" and lifted it higher. Even the conductor began to understand this event. Great entertainment. Brava!

  • I'm not sure if I'm supposed to love this or hate it...but I love it!

  • Then You do know... You just don't know for you... You need to be told! So, I am telling you: you love it... So, enjoy yourself unbeknown to yourself!
