My prediction: PBF's way of winning is through 12rd decision. Pacquiao's way to win is to either knockdown, TKO, or KO. Leaving the decision to the judges will be shady for Pacquiao without at least a knockdown. PBF will stick to his style of countering while backing away and I can see it frustrating Pacquiao. Boxing is opportunistic with a bit of luck. Whoever gets the opportunities and luck, will win. Either way, I see this going on a trilogy. This will be an exciting fight.
We all know that Pacquiao will get countered a lot. We also know from Cotto's fight that Pacquiao have a good chin and body. PBF does have a good defense but he will not be able to dodge and block everything Pacquiao throws at him. 1/10 of those punches will get in. Because PBF barely gets hit due to his defense, his chin has never really been tested. PBF's previous fight showed his opponenst not going to the body or left shoulder. I see Pacquiao dislocating that shoulder & bruising the body

You know what the more I watch PBF's previous fights, the more I think Pacquiao will get him. If I can see PBF's weak points, I'm pretty sure Roach already have a book on it. PBF's shoulder roll leaves his body and his shoulder open to get hit. It's just a matter of Pacquiao not getting committed to hit him on the head on the shoulder rolls.

You can't judge Pacquiao's style against runners by referencing the late rounds of the Cotto fight. At that point in the fight, Manny was walking threw him and the fight was over! All that gayweather do is hit a guy with a pot shot (usually 1 or two) then run. If you call that fighting then i am Superman. boxing is the sport of hit and not get hit. but you can't compare moneymay with ali. ali fought the best available opposition. the same cannot be said with floyd. floyd is the best talent but so far untested. until floyd takes on the best available opposition he cannot claim to the greatest. hands down, PBF will beat packy but moneymay doesn't have the balls to sign the contract.

I agree a win is win but I think Floyd uses it as defensive move. Floyd does this move a lot on the earlier rounds. That is how DLH manage to get a split decision, why Hatton survived up to 10th rounds. There is no question Floyd will do this against a guy who KO or TKO his last 4 bouts.

@OZIASALLAH also...i dont think you consider the fact that floyd doesnt like fighting south paws (even his own dad has said that) because the angel of a south paw is perfect for coming over the top of floyds shoulder roll left down defense. Also..pac hits from weird angles...angles that no other fighters throw from...and he is faster then anyone floyd has fought (yes including Judah, who is fast but lacks ring smarts and real heart) Pac will throw things at Floyd that Floyd hasnt seen....

My prediction: PBF's way of winning is through 12rd decision. Pacquiao's way to win is to either knockdown, TKO, or KO. Leaving the decision to the judges will be shady for Pacquiao without at least a knockdown. PBF will stick to his style of countering while backing away and I can see it frustrating Pacquiao. Boxing is opportunistic with a bit of luck. Whoever gets the opportunities and luck, will win. Either way, I see this going on a trilogy. This will be an exciting fight.

We all know that Pacquiao will get countered a lot. We also know from Cotto's fight that Pacquiao have a good chin and body. PBF does have a good defense but he will not be able to dodge and block everything Pacquiao throws at him. 1/10 of those punches will get in. Because PBF barely gets hit due to his defense, his chin has never really been tested. PBF's previous fight showed his opponenst not going to the body or left shoulder. I see Pacquiao dislocating that shoulder & bruising the body

Good and fair analysis. Pacquiao did appear like he was frustrated when Cotto started boxing him on the later rounds by doing tactical retreat. You know what the more I watch PBF's previous fights, the more I think Pacquiao will get him. If I can see PBF's weak points, I'm pretty sure Roach already have a book on it. PBF's shoulder roll leaves his body and his shoulder open to get hit. It's just a matter of Pacquiao not getting committed to hit him on the head on the shoulder rolls.

i agree with you that floyd has a very good defense. defense that is based or its foundation is to block/anticipate known punches and i think that will be the edge of pacman because of its awkwardness. pacquiao style of boxing/offense is also based on anticipation. he is like royce gracie that will tap you for you to make certain moves and then he will try to do it again and knows exactly where your goin...this is still pick em fight IMO may the best man man win...i hope its pacquiao

I have to disagree when you said Manny didn't know what to do after Cotto started riding his bike in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th round. Manny gave the ref a few glances as if to say, "when are you gonna stop the fight?" Cotto's face was a mess at this point and I'm sure Manny didn't want to hurt him anymore.
On the 12th round, my Filipino friend heard Manny's translator say "take it." They wanted a TKO on Manny's record, but for Bayless to stop the fight he knew he had to force the issue.

You can't judge Pacquiao's style against runners by referencing the late rounds of the Cotto fight. At that point in the fight, Manny was walking threw him and the fight was over! Manny was willing to walk threw a few shots to go for the knockout!! Obviously, Manny wouldn't do that against Floyd unless he had Floyd hurt and was well ahead in the fight!

trapping floyd would be a mistake. If you notice his style. he lets himself gets trapped and set a counter with straight right jab. What pac should do is go for the body then the head since floyds head is very hard to target. If you watch floyd vs castillo. Castillo's strategy was working. body then go up. Only thing that he didn't have is the power and stamina to keep it up. Pac has all the tools. To all floyd fans. There's no damnn way floyd is gonna ko pac.. stop dreaming.
