Very well made. One gripe though, the sound quality was not as brilliant too! At my end it was poor. Having said this, the fault probably lies with my equipment, and not with the person who made the video. Interesting perspective, as viewed from the pilot's point of view. Emotive.

When I flew "War in the Pacific", I noticed that suicide attacks felt right, when taking on character of Japanese pilot, because of my knowledge of Bushido. You don't seek to survive, or to perform the mission, or seek Glory... only to kill the enemy. He should have climbed to14,000 and come exactly straight down, even if you're hit, gravity will guide you onto the enemy ship.

ok, the USS Enterprise did not get destroyed in action. It gor damaged in action and kept going into port but it never got destroyed. After the war USS Enterprise got torn apart for parts as there is no neeed for another carrier.

It's because the Kamikaze planes were filled with 800 kilo bombs, so the planes would cause serious damage to the ship, or even sink it.

An usual plane that crashes into a ship don't cause damage, just the death of some crew man that are near the plane.

weren't this kamikaze attacks done in a more steep degree than this shallow approach..? with shallow approach you can't really penetrate the surface but skid of the carrier with only fuel burning around, hardly enough to get into lower decks where bombs are stored to make a fire and sink the carrier????

There were two major Kamikaze attack methods, the one which you stated, and there is one where the plane flies close to the water and impacts on the side of the ship's hull. How ever since this was the first attack, I say it wasn't really perfected yet.

The first ever Kamizaze attack was against the Australian Navy's heavy cruiser "Australa" it happened on October 21st 1944.

The attack on the St Lo happned 4 days later.

I hate to break it to ya, but u did NOT kamikaze and sink the USS St. Lo. Notice the Big 71 on the flight deck? That was the ship's designation number. USS St. Lo's designation was CVE-63. The ship you sank was CVE-71, and that was the USS Kitkun Bay. So, slight correction: the ship sunk in this video was the USS Kitkun Bay (CVE-71).

Do you mean the music at time around 00:08 ? If that's the case then I am afraid that's the sound of flap deployment on the aircraft. It's not part of the music but rather the game's sound.

I've got an install of Pacific Fighters over Forgotten Battles and the Ace Expansion Pack. It has to be one of the BEST WW2 flight sims available.

hi Master666555, you were right St.Lo did sufer 4 explosions and sunk as a result of that. But IL-2 do not simulate ship explosions. So I am afraid we have to settle for a normal sinking.
