How many each way do they operate on game days?

@JuiceJackNut Depends on the game start time, but typically they'll run 6 round trips before the game, and 4 after. "After" being the start of the 4th quarter. A round trip is about 25 minutes.

You would think they would fire up one of the QJs instead of an FP-45 but that is just me.

@PereMarquette1223 Wrong railroad, the QJ's are one the Iowa Interstate. This is the Iowa Northern. They bought a Rock Island E8 and an E6 from the Midland Railway and when those are operational they'll use those on this train.

I am looking at getting a fluid setup for my G10 as well. Any thought after using it for a few months? Would you still go with the 547bk setup?

@gmhorse The 547BK tripod is pretty solid for its relatively light weight. The701HDV head is just a little stiffer on pans than I would like, but it's *very* smooth. If you need to do really quick pans, it'll get in the way. Tilt works fine, and is just as smooth. Very well made. Love the buillt-in level. Would definitely go with this combo. My biggest complaint right now is the zoom control on the G10, so I'm looking around for something to mount on the 701's handle.
