You all suck. DIY shouldn't be spread around. People with talent will do it regardless. Most "artists" should be lobotomized and working in a factory.
i can relate to these people. i am a DIY fashion designer. and also a street musician. i go out and beatbox while im on the bus. or at my local mall. and i love the idea of DIY and indie ideas.
I love this stuff. Im a homeless filmmaker. NOT a filmmaker who happens to be homeless, a CAREER homeless BUM who just happens to make films.
Im not an artist, Im a bum. I just happen to have a talent for certain artforms. But I really dig these guys and gals that dedicate themselves to who they are.

Very good perspective, well above most of the stuff on youtube.
As a writer/poet, I can relate with the feeling of necessity and unstoppable will to express and communicate. I think that artists want to improve, put art in everything around them, which is a demanding vision of life.
Im a writer/poet too, and I can relate to your struggle as well with other writers in my area (I live in hamilton) and everyday i see people give up because they cannot escape the box of normaility and expectancy hopefully no writer has to live in that box forever. Keep writing, dude.
ok this is just my point on this but i think the guy stephen elliott said it best ,, we all have things in our heads and by putting it down on paper or sculpting ,or painting we are able to keep our sanity going , its not about art or talent its just expressing what we are going through at one point in time and we capture it and let others see or hear it ,,,,,,, but thats my take on it
im a painter who wants to do it all sing sew paint make jewelery like tiffany davinci and renoir and you tube artist suzi blu im at home driven to create and share the tough part is bieng isolated at home i want out but arthritis and bi polar slow me down ill get out this year
Thank you from a frustrated dumpster diving, thrift shop junkie, record digging sculptor/stonemason/capernter/old punk/artist who is still looking for his way at 31. Matt.

It's true, it needs to get out of your head. No matter how ridiculous whatever I make is...it must get out or I'll turn inside out.
