I was in an advanced placement history course when I was in middleschool and I discovered this film and watched it for fun.

It was beautiful! Although the intense sexuality was shocking to me at the time. I would like to see this film again now that I'm in college.

Attention!This film isn't a 'fidele' translation of a period in french history,it's above all an adaptation of the roman of Dumas 'la reine Margot' wrote in XIX century.So some things you could see in this film are not totally true,but just see throught the eyes of Dumas thas re-wrote history at his avantage in his book.But yes massacre of St Barthelemy is a sad reality...(thousands of deads)

There's of course no need to tell you this movie is awesome, the actor's performances (ALL of them) are breath taking, aswell as Adjani's beauty and the music. It's also very interesting, and very realistic, it's not another romantic drama, it's much more dark, deep and psychological.
