I can see how that would be really upsetting. I'm new on YouTube and if I ever wanted to use clips from another person's vids I would ask. If they said no I would not use their video and if they said yes I'd say where I got the clips in the credits and on the infomation about the video. I agree. I saw someone completely take a video that someone else made (didn't even mix up the clips, all she did was add a new song) and upload it as her own work.

That's why I tag my videos now. Anyone who makes videos (even if they aren't the best) knows how long it takes. I don't understand why people just can't make their own. and rip their own dvds or whatever. It's really not hard.

Be fair, if people are only using individual clips, not clips that u put together I mean, but clips that are exactly like they were in d who episodes, then let em use them.

If they can't get video material any other way, then it's a bit harsh to be mad at them. Okay, they should NOT use big pieces of a video that YOU put together but bits like a piece of bad wolf bay like it was in the episode, without the music etc, that no prob for me.

Wow, this happened to me, like...today! The person (shelbypeace btw)stole my Far Away video, and re-arranged the clips, then had the nerve to say that 'most' of the clips were hers!!!! I THINK NOT! About a fifth of that vid was her own material, the rest was mine, and she uploaded the vid yesterday, and only decided to tell me TODAY!

I am just as pissed off as you, AnamariaSparrow, and I really want this to stop. I don't even know how she downloaded mine >:(

I hate that it's happening to! I found this from Cilleh's page. I make videos also, not anywhere near as brilliantly as you do or Cilleh but they ARE good, good enough that once or twice I've had clips stolen, but more often then not it's my song choice people take. Which pisses me off just as bad.

Yeah songs are out there for everyone, but really, when a subscriber to ME does a video just a few days AFTER me using the same song yeah, I know they stole it from me and it pisses me off.

I really do hope this behaviour comes to a halt, in fact, its a leading factor in my fear to post any of my creations on YouTube because it can take days to perfectly compile clips in a working video- that's not including effects. Everything has to be cropped and altered. There is money paid out just so that you can have the best program and provide the best quality for the viewers. These videos are someone's heart and soul. What really irks me about the whole thing is that we don't make these videos for profit. We (mostly) don't make them because other people asked us to. We don't even make them for the praise they get. We make them because we ENJOY it and we like to share our work with others. We could just make the vids for our own amusement and never share them, but we choose not to because, well, we're pretty damn nice and we like to spread the love, as it were.
