meeting them was very fascinating! getting so close seemed like not such a good idea but I was assured that it was okay. driving to jai gar was wonderful. the monkeys were all in the woods on the way up the mountain. jaipur is a very fun place to visit.

@kahina22 I found a baby vervet this morning dead from a male trying to make his move for the leadership of the troop. His whole face was chewed off and he was pulled in two. Anyone that says it safe around these primates is taking a pretty big chance. I have 800 monkeys total, vervets, baboons, and macaques, and they are unpredictable to say the least. Just my opinion, but people shoud be careful around any wild animal.

You are so right, I was scared when the bandar came over. In a town in india i was looking out a doorway at some of the same kind of bandar across the road. (baboon macaques?) and they were fine with me looking at them until i took out my camera to take a pic, the leader got really mad and made a scary growl at me, i got the impresssion he thought it was a gun..i shut the door asap!
