I don't think either Sylosis or HoaC wanted people to argue over which band is better. Its arguments like this which destroys genres. Just listen to the music you like, and enjoy it. Personally, I prefered Sylosis with Jamie, but that's probably because I've been listening to them since The Supreme Oppressor. Josh is still a great vocalist, and Sylosis are still my favourite band, but HoaC are fucking AWESOME as well.

I like Jamie, but he added a metalcore influence that put Sylosis in a state of flux, more Jack of all genres, masters of none. Without him, Sylosis are so much more focused and dare I say it, better without that influence Jamie added. Plus the vox Josh does fits more with their new style.

Now Jamie can follow a more -core style, and fair play to him he isn't doing too badly.
